This restaurant was my ultimate favorite, but recently the food has declined. It makes me sad! The atmosphere and staff are typically great (though on the last visit, the waitress never came back to check after she delivered the food), but the food has gone from delicious to disastrous. The shepherds pie has changed and is not the same caliber. Most recently, the steak I ordered was cooked to a pellet and the chicken in the salad of my dining companion was charred and tasted bitter. The side dish of carrots were so hard I had to cut them with my steak knife. When the food is pricey compared to other local restaurants, I expect it to taste better, not worse.

Great atmosphere and service. The open kitchen was fun to watch! The owner also personally came to the table to say hi. We will be back.

Great food. Nice change from a lot of places having only fried, heavy, typical Wisconsin food. Prices aren’t bad at all. Husband and son enjoyed the brown cake dessert and said it tasted just like warm apple pie.

Our waitress went above and beyond checking in with us and making sure our drinks were always full. Will definitely come again.

Fun place, we will be back however for drinks only. Friendly staff and our server was good but the food was a 3.5 out of 10. I ordered a tenderloin / medium, not only was it far beyond medium it also had a sour scent I couldn’t help but notice like it was an older steak thats been in the fridge too long (I know the sent well from personal experience). Very neat little place with good drinks but for a $47 dollar steak it should be made very well and if the customer points out its very well done & eats 3 bites of it I would hope the server is empowered to adjust the bill and thus retain a customer group is all.

We visited for our wedding anniversary dinner.

The pros….
Our waitress was extremely friendly and accommodating. The owner checked in on us during our meal. The drinks were well made. If you show up early you can be seated right away.

The cons..
The table we were seated at was extremely close to the table next to us. This made it harder to talk between us. Parts of the meal were luke warm. The price is a little steep for certain items.

Overall it is nice to have such a unique dining experience in waupaca.

Saturday Prime Rib!
Just had an amazing night out at Doc Kelly’s in Waupaca—one of the best spots in town for great vibes and fantastic food! The staff is incredibly friendly and makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Prime Rib Saturdays is absolute perfection—juicy, tender, perfectly seasoned. Generous portions at a great price, and it’s so good it disappears fast! Pair it with their good wine selection, and you’re set for an unforgettable meal. If you’re in Waupaca on a Saturday, Doc Kelly’s is a must-visit. Can’t wait to return! Highly recommend—10/10.

Drinks were spectacular. Service was great! Food… stone cold. Stone cold. I think it was made well.. but very very cold. We let the waitress know.. but .. she couldn’t do anything apparently. Nice people working there.

Two friend and I visited for dinner. I had the cheese steak and fries I thought there would be more flavor to the meat and the fries were just ordinary. The friends both ordered fish n chips but opted for mashed potatoes. They were satisfied with their meals.
