My son picked Doc Hollandaise for his last meal in his home state of Maine. LOL He’s moving to Pittsburgh . . . so we stopped for breakfast.
The staff was friendly, quick and efficient, the food was excellent. I had the signature Eggs Benedict, my son had the Blackstone made with home made corned beef hash. My son’s girlfriend had pancakes. We all had the home fries casserole. Everything was delicious. They have an amazing selection of doughnuts . . made to order, incredible! A must stop for everyone, but it’s only open for breakfast, so come early

This place has great food. The homemade donuts are awesome too. This little whole in the wall is well worth checking out.

Fantastic breakfast. Probably the best hollandaise sauce I have ever had! and the apple caramel cheesecake donut was amazing! Although my homefries were pretty over cooked..(burned) I didnt mind because I was so full from everything else I couldnt eat them anyways!! and I wish they brought the donut at the end of the meal… but those aside.. a great little place with great food and awesome donuts!

Food is incredible. Best breakfast in Maine. Donuts are amazing and love the homemade hash and fresh eggs. Only issue is the wait and service can be a little slow when crowded on the weekend. Recommend coming on weekday as the wait is less and the place is small but otherwise a treat worth waiting for.

This could be my new favorite place if I didn’t live so far away. So much to choose from. I got the Bering Strait crab omelet and it was fabulous. The price was more then reasonable. It came with 2 mini pancakes (which weren’t so mini) and potato of your choice. We read some reviews about the slowness of service and almost walked out when we were 3rd in line but didn’t and glad because we got seated and served very quickly. Well worth any wait time. We got a couple donuts. Sooo good!! And so many choices

This little establishment has become a mainstay for a weekly breakfast with coworkers and they haven’t disappointed us in the least.

The food is nothing short of great. From the simplest fried or scrambled egg platter with pancakes, to the amazing Blackstone Eggs Benedict with home made corned beef hash, to the potatoes casserole, it honestly tastes like someone loves you. I haven’t had a better breakfast anywhere in my almost 40 years.

The staff is great, smiling and conversing with everyone while refilling coffees and dropping orders at tables. It’s like having a group of friends you get to visit every week because there are regulars who call this little gem their home and it just adds to the friendly atmosphere. I love the old school Maine feel of the dining room with an assortment of random old chairs that I see regulars finding their favorite among the crowd.

I’m so glad we have such a great breakfast nook in Augusta. Excellent food and great people.

Very casual atmosphere. Be prepared to find your own seat when you come in. When I was there, there wasn’t an abundant amount of space so this was a bit of a negative.
Table service was attentive and friendly.
The food was very good, probably the best out of the nearby breakfast places that I’ve tried. With fresh donuts made right there. Reasonable prices.
The bill was poorly laid out, with what we ordered and the prices handwritten in an unclear manner.
Overall a great place, but the slightly below par layout and flow of things makes it only 4 stars for me.
