I’m from Chicago and have been in need of my grandmother’s cooking.. this place definitely hit the spot. Worth every penny, felt right at home. The customer service was amazing and the wait wasn’t long! Food was delicious and piping hot. Made my soul dance. Definitely a favorite spot for myself now! 10/10 would recommend 🙂

Ok honestly the food is very delicious! My only complaint and the reason I gave service only 3 stars is because I definitely feel that I got robbed on the hot link for the price! Should get at least half the horseshoe sausage for the price they’re charging! Overall it’s definitely a win and probably more portions if you were to dine in instead of delivery! For some reason most all restaurants shit us on something when doing a call in for delivery

If you are big bang for your bucks type of a person. Pass this place by. The food is way overpriced. Taste average at best. I just flew in from Japan. The flavor of the food was OK. I can honestly say that I will be returning to this restaurant. The customer service was nice and friendly. 75.00 for 2 plates of fish! Never again. The food was basic.

DND Had a fantastic selection and the taste of everything that I got was fantastic.
The best soul food I’ve had since I’ve left the south. Others are OK. I found myself sitting back after I had finished lunch and realized that the after tasted my mouth was just like I remember.
The staff is just super friendly and it wasn’t fake at all.

Everything was amazing, the service, the food, the atmosphere….10/10 stars!!!! I haven’t had soul food this good in years!!!!! The atmosphere is as if you’re right at home getting a home cooked meal fixed by your grandparents! Highly recommend!!!!!

Best shrimp po’boy I’ve ever had and I grew up in Houston going to Galveston on the weekends! As my husband ate his catfish he goes ‘this food is what makes you say ‘praise God’ & he is RIGHT. We had every side and they were all incredible. We live an hour away and will be coming back regularly. A million stars!

I enjoyed my meal at this small family owned restaurant…the food, the people, the atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the catfish and yams. The team were friendly and provided quality service. The location is easily located right off of I-5, just a couple of hops from the Tacoma Dome. A good amount of food…I had leftovers; I missed out on the Peach Cobbler…my son stole it. LOL I will return!

Oh my!!! I would give 10 stars!!! Catfish was excellent! We had red beans and rice, fried cod (so meaty), and hot links. I could just get the Mac and Cheese and call it a day!!! Hubby said the wings were perfect! The server (wish I had gotten her name) was so attentive and friendly! They give large portions. I completely forgot to get pictures! Small dining area but there were LOTS of to go orders! 10/10!!!

The atmosphere, food, and service was amazing. They are quick with bring food. The food always comes fresh and ready…. And they will cater to allergies or anything that you find discomforting about your order. It would be a shame if this restaurant became a barbershop though. Visit now!!!

Stopped by and ordered a catfish entree. It comes with 2 sides. I ordered sides of mac n cheese and candied yams. Ordered an additional side of collard greens. Also ordered a store made beverage. Marie was sweet as pie. They were friendly and polite, inviting and greeted customers as they entered. The entree also comes with a choice of bread, like white bread or corn bread and I think there’s another option. Everything was good. I will say that the liquid from the collard greens was a bit salty, so the part immersed longer in the greens were a bit much to eat. But overall the food was good and I’d go back for certain. On street parking was readily available. Decor included lots of black art, place was clean, tables were available for eating.
