This place has great barbecue chicken. It is finger-licking good. The portions are good size for the money. I haven’t tried the beef or pork and won’t since I don’t eat that. But they smell and look fantastic. The inside is a bit small but the people are very friendly. I will go back and it might be today. See you there.

Awesome people! Very good food!!!! I loved it all! The cornbread was awesome too! Chicken portion very satisfying! I ordered rice as well, but should have gotten more, it’s awesome! The hot BBQ sauce is really yummy!!!! I’ll be back!!!! 🙂

Went here today for lunch with a friend. He wanted ribs.
He ordered the 3 rib plate with cornbread…baked beans…and slaw…
The ribs were very delicious. He lived the slaw.
I got the pork bowl and a hot link. I definately liked the ribs better. I thought it would be pulled pork..but it was pork sliced with sauce over it.
I will order the ribs next time. The hotlink was very good.
The owner was so sweet. Such a kind woman. We really enjoyed talking to her.
I would for sure recommend the ribs…very tasty.

I was driving around taking care of errands I’d had a hankering for bbq since Friday. I came upon this place in Google search and decided to try it. The people running the place were nice enough. I perused the signed pictures on the wall and the article from Sacramento food awarding the place back in, I don’t remember what year. I placed my order for a large ribs plate and 2 hot links on the side. I was excited to try the hot links, mmm that resistant bite through the skin into juicy spiciness! I finally got to a red light and popped open the hot link package, they were cut into bite size pieces and smothered in sauce. I took a piece and tried it. Oh man, no bite back, it was like putting a Vienna sausage smothered in bbq into my mouth. I could squash it with my tongue. It was terrible. I had to wait to get home to try the ribs. While the potato salad and corn muffin were ok, the baked beans tasted straight out of a can. While the ribs had bite and were fall off the bone tender, they weren’t fresh, in fact as I recall I didn’t smell any smoke at all while I waited for my food. Unfortunately whatever renown this place once held, is no longer there. I would pass on this place in the future.

There are only 3 indoor tables and 2 outdoor tables, so seating is limited and I’m not sure that they have a public restroom. The guy who took our order was not friendly, but the food was outstanding. I was SO impressed! I got the tri tip and my husband got the pork. It was absolutely amazing. I love the mild sauce. You get generous portions and the baked beans taste like they have cinnamon added to them. It is wonderful! I will absolutely be going back and taking it to-go.

Best ribs in Sacramento! They’re super tender with a nice chew to them & practically fall off the bone. The BBQ sauce is perfectly balanced & super flavorful. The sweetest couple own the place & treat you like family. Very quick service. They really know what they’re doing. Highly recommend this place, will be back soon.

Overall good experience. The owners were very nice and pleasant. The beans are really good with an unexpected flavor. The sauce on the ribs was very good and so were the hot links. The ribs for me though were a little overcooked and by that I mean they fell off the bone too much. Some people like this. I prefer a little bite to ribs but I’d eat them again for sure.

Why is it always the little whole in the wall, or the little places off the strips that are the best places. This is one that is been here in the same for 26 years. And everything around the are trying to take there place. No one should replace them. I had the 3 piece ribs the medium sauce that was perfectly fine it’s sweet & heat to it. But i tell you it was great. I well be going back. Great food.
