An absolutely beautiful and (mostly) yummy selection of donuts that will both amaze your eyes and make your stomach happy. We chose a dozen of some of the most interesting and fun donuts either of us have had and while almost all were amazing, there were a few that were more style over substance which isn’t that surprising. Service was good and helpful and prices were a bit high but worth the quality. The parking lot is a little rough to get a space and we were blocked in while trying to leave while someone else double parked so just be aware!

This is an iconic Santa Monica donut shop with a variety of different delicious donuts to choose from! They have great coffee. I saw donuts in here I’ve never seen before at other chains such as rose pistachio and black sesame. The donuts are beautiful and displayed right in front of you. The staff was very nice and fast. The atmosphere is colorful and clean like a cartoon. I really had an amazing experience here.

Amazing donuts, amazing breakfast options, and amazing coffee! The service here is outstanding, friendly and quick. The donut selection can be so unique but every bit as delicious as an old fashion donut! I recommend trying anything that catches your eye as you won’t be disappointed! They have so many breakfast options from croissant sandwiches, to bagel sandwiches and even breakfast burritos. My personal favorite is the Max special bagel sandwich. If your in the area, stop by and treat yourself.

Open late and great staff. I have known about this place for years, had their donuts on several occasions, but never visited in person. I placed my order, paid and walked out. Then I saw that they made a mistake with their order and they fixed it asap. Go here while you charge at the Electrify America down the street!

DK’S Donuts & Bakery is an super cute bakery. Super cute displays on which you want, so many to pick from, I love the ones that are holiday related. So many to choose 🙂 Well made 🙂 The staff are friendly/helpful. Hard workers they are and will help you if you don’t know which one to pick. 🙂

DK’s Donut & Bakery in Santa Monica is an excellent, family-owned 24-hour donut shop and cafe that has been in business for over forty years. They have a mouth-watering selection of fresh donuts, including an impressive assortment of cronut inspired donuts.
Their little shop is in a small strip mall in Santa Monica. I had no trouble finding parking right outfront. The shop has a colorful, pink-focused theme. They had an outstanding selection of donuts on display in their glass cases as well as a nice, large menu board offering up all kinds of snacks, drinks, and sandwiches.
The four donuts I sampled on my visit to DK’s were fantastic. It was honestly a very hard decision. I had to limit myself to four because when I buy donuts, I have very little self control and know I am going to eat them all the same day. Besides, donuts are always best when they are fresh.
The strawberry nutella cronut style donut was amazing. Lots of rich, hazelnut spread flavor mixed with strawberry. The plain glazed donut was top notch. I always try to get a plain glaze and use it as a baseline. A great plain glaze donut is always a treat for me. The cinnamon sugar cronut and the peanut butter cup donut were also great.
I know there are other “DK” donut places out there. This one is a real treat and I think it is the OG one. If you are in Santa Monica or are passing by, make sure you stop by and support a great local business!

2 flavors of vegan donuts, glazed and chocolate. The donuts are delicious, but the “vegan” donuts with sprinkles are not vegan because the sprinkles are not vegan. They have shellac in them (made from crushed beetles) (and they also have tons of artificial colors which we avoid). Now that that makes me wonder if the chocolate is vegan…I hope their oversight didn’t go that far. But getting the ingredients list for the chocolate would probably be more difficult…

**Edit: I contacted the shop on Friday for 2x 10 by 10 Texas sized donut for pick on Saturday. Super last minute I know but I was blown away by the customer service and I already knew the donuts were going to be fire. I literally only agreed to a little birthday lunch just so I can have the Texas size donuts as my cake….We will never go back to traditional cakes**
This place was worth every single mile I drove from Santa Clarita. Had this place on my food bucket list and was going to be in the area so I made the spot and it did not disappoint. Got 1x maple bacon 1x salted caramel bacon 1x double dipped old fashion, 1x dk house cream (amazing) 1x stuffed vanilla cream. I ate every single bite. The salted caramel and the housing cream one is the reason I am making another trip out there Sunday.

Very friendly and fast staff. Every time I come in here I’m out quick. They’re coffee is very good, which is hard to say for most donut shops. They have specialty donuts, with colorful presentation, which my kids loved. I have also tried their bagels, which are really good. The breakfast burrito was small, but it was only $6 so it was rightfully priced. Big warning they only accept CASH, which most retailers nowadays don’t even take cash. But it’s ok, if you don’t mind. Plenty of parking to go around, very clean. The outside of the shop does not do it justice, their indoor presentation is very nice. They have many options for people to try out, including vegan and gluten free options.
