Normally I withhold reviews for a place until I get a sample of more than just a single visit. However I was not pleased with my breakfast and felt I should warn people before picking her
I saw the Wawa up the street (opposite side of the road). I originally drove there but decided to support a smaller “mom & pop” owned business
To get directly to the point, the omelette was not good. It was just food imo…
The eggs were so thin that I barely tasted the eggs. What I did taste was the mushrooms and spinach I had ordered. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem but I think they are using canned mushrooms and frozen spinach
The side order of shredded hash browns were very crispy and I mean VERY crispy. I guess I should have ordered the other potatoes. The turkey sausage patty was probably frozen too. It normally wouldn’t be an issue but it took extra effort to try and cut it with my fork alone. The English muffins were extra buttered which for me was nice, but I know some people would say it had a greasy taste issue
When it was time to pay the cheque I found out they are only a CASH ONLY business. So the $8 omelette and extra 0.75¢ for each topping (had two). Plus $4.00 for sausage patty and$2.00 for the coffee. Equalling the total with tax $16.43 (plus ATM fee of $1.75)
Oddly enough I heard loud people above me. I assume this was for storage boxes? I guess I should expect it but didn’t expect how loud it sounds. It’s like a really loud neighbour upstairs (rummaging through stuff and bumping up the flight of stairs both ways
I’m not sure I’ll try here again since they are not using fresh ingredients on an omelette. Seems really off when tasting canned food for breakfast (at least for me). Maybe you should check it out for yourself and not take my opinion on it. I’m sorry it didn’t work out here for me.
BTW the coffee was okay, I definitely had a few refills on that, the waitress was definitely accommodating and helpful. The CASH ONLY sign was only seen on the CASH register up front (which I missed). I don’t think it was on the paper placemat menu. At least it did not stand out. Oh well… That is a $1.75 fee lesson for not keeping enough on me for tip & cheque.
It was slightly heavy tasting, The middle, though, had all the flavor.
It was ok for what it was,
Wouldn’t order it again, but it wouldn’t stop me from trying something else there because the menu was interesting. They have a good cup of coffee
Food was good. Only complaint is the hash browns were oily. Coffee was great.
We’ll never be returning.
Chicken fingers, I don’t know what they really were. Toast was soggy. Definitely won’t be back.
Seriously?!? I have bought tacos from street vendors and lemonade from small children who have digital card readers. This is 2024!!!
Any restaurant that only accepts cash is just not a legitimate business. The waiter pointed me to an ATM machine next to the restrooms. Of course, it had fees! Why would I pay a tip to a waiter when I have to withdraw cash and pay a fee?!?!
Even if the the food was fantastic, it would be annoying to have to se an ATM machine. The food was FAR from fantastic.
