The food here can rival a New England clam shack. The clam chowder had clam bits in every spoon full. The baked clams were good, it had a fair amount of seasoned stuffing with the clam. The bartender recommended the hot lobster tail. It didn’t disappoint either. Its tasty, has some butter and the bread is fantastic. Every bite has the seafood you order, not hint or filler. The waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu, and gave me a sample of the lobster bisque, it was very good. Bar was reasonable but the atmosphere is family friendly. Unlimited fountain soda and the table spacing was perfect. They have music at a talka Le level and a few Tvs for the game. I’m definitely going back in a few weeks, I’m going to try the cold lobster roll and garlic little neck clams. Only negative, it’s a small store front (but spacious inside 15-20 tables and a bar.) on the east bound lane. Many positives to talk about but most important. You don’t have to cross the long island sound to get a quality lobster roll.

It’s still very pricey that you pay 40+ for a OVERSTUFFED lobster roll with coleslaw and a lemon which you can see on the photo I posted.

Stopped in after a hike for lunch to-go. We got the cold lobster roll, and the over stuffed warm lobster roll, coleslaw, and fries. It was all SO GOOD! Both the lobster rolls had a good amount of lobster. It’s hard to say which was yummier – the cold with Mayo or the warm with butter. Either way we were both very happy.
The fries were so crispy and fresh. The coleslaw tasted like it was made in-house.
Overall, it was an excellent lunch and we’ll absolutely be back next time we’re in the area.

Easy to see right off of Jericho Turnpike servicing East Northport and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Small parking lot. No wheelchair accessible entrance. Clean facilities. Indoor dining with plexiglass dividers between tables. Nice staff. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Try the lobster roll. The menu is simple which makes ordering easy. We will definitely be going back.

Tasty Joint! Regular size cold lobster roll was delicious. Awesome sweet potatoe fries. I think I was the 1st person in for on-site lunch. Staff was friendly & courteous. Got to taste the lobster bisque which I will be getting next time I’m there! $28 with small drink, definitely worth the treat that I was ready for. They have alcohol too what a bonus! Wait till my lad gets there, this will be our go to spot for rolls! I’m almost positive I drank there 40 years ago as people’s pub! Huge improvement!

I have wanted to try DJ’s Clam Shack in Wantagh for a long time, but it’s always too crowded. When I saw they opened a new restaurant in East Northport I was happy to make the drive from Hicksville. I was not disappointed. The New England clam chowder was the best I ever had. The lobster roll was equally delicious with large pieces of fresh lobster. I will definitely be going back to try their other menu items.

I got to DJ’s Northport at 11:30 AM when they opened. The employees were working diligently cleaning the tables and stocking the napkins. They were very friendly and attentive while taking my to go order. The Lobster rolls and sweet potato fries were excellent when I got home. My only disappointment was that the owners don’t provide the employees with DJ’S t-shirts to look more professional.

Lobster roll was plentiful but fishy tasting. Baked clams were huge but had a pasty consistency. Clam chowder was brothy and lacking in clams. Portions were decent. Service was excellent.
