If you’re in the Fountain Hills area and craving a solid breakfast sandwich, DJ’s Bagel Café delivers. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel – and everything lined up. The bagel was fresh with that crisp outside and chewy inside. The bacon was cooked solid, the egg set well and the cheese melted cleanly. Simple and satisfying.
The café itself has a warm, no‑frills local vibe. It’s clean, well maintained, and staffed by folks who clearly know their bagels and sandwiches. The menu has a wide array of bagel types, spreads and breakfast sandwich options, so you can easily customize if you’re picky like I am. 
My only minor quibble: it was pretty busy when I went in, so service paused for a moment – but the wait was short and entirely manageable. For what I wanted, DJ’s hit the mark.
Would I return? Yes. If you want a high‑quality bagel sandwich in a cozy, local café, this is one to try.

Just driving by my wife and I saw the sign for bagels, being from New York we have been looking for a good bagel place since 2003. Well I must say we finally found our new bagel place as good as New York. It was an incredible experience and the bonus was they serve Boars Head cold cuts!!!
I did meet and have a conversation with Derek one of the owners what a gentleman this place is clean the food is delicious. Everything is so fresh !
Incredible employees from the cashier to the cook were very polite and highly motivated I would recommend DJ’s Bagel Cafe for breakfast, lunch or dinner.!!!

I love everything here — the Caesar salad, chicken salad sandwich, bagels, fresh veggies, pasta salad — literally everything is amazing. The staff are always so nice and welcoming too. Easily one of my favorite spots!

I ordered a tuna sandwich on sourdough and grabbed one of the captain crunch cereal bars for dessert and was in a sugar coma after.
Zero complaints.
I will probably come here once a week to try a new menu item and slowly work my way through this menu.

So freaking good. Super addictive in a bad way, but you just want it. Warm bagel with cream cheese and coffee… please don’t let my weight go up 5 pounds! Staff are all cool, and patient, as I usually have no idea what to order… I’ve been told to call ahead and ask what the soup is so it must be good. Sandwiches that are delicious and will put you squarely in a 3 hour post lunch coma… repeat the next day is the norm.

Not what I expected at all. Pretty busy at 2pm on a Saturday. Counter staff were very nice, asked questions, wanted to make sure you get the best possible experience. The roast beef sandwich and the healthy rueben were excellent and delicious. This is my new sandwich shop. the roast beef was fresh not packaged sliced meat, medium rare the way I like it. They are not shy with their portions either. the Cole slaw and pasta salad were awesome too. Even the Pickle was Crispy. This is the place, try it! The picture of the empty container says it all, ate it all.

A friend told me how amazing the food was here at DJ’s so I had to try it. The service was quick, friendly and plenty of options for breads and sandwiches. I chose the wrong one, I ordered a Tuna Sandwhich on Rye. The tuna tasted old and unsalted. The presentation was on point! I hope to come back and try something else, without tuna. And, imo, when i want onions, i would like a few, cut, not a whole cross-section that you cant bite through and pulls the tuna and lettuce right out of the sandwhich on the first bite.

Phenomenal bagels! The friendliest employees! So many yummy choices, my hubby couldn’t decide what kind of sandwich he wanted and they sweetly offered to put together whatever he wanted by just listing the ingredients. As you can see, it came out magnificent! So fresh and tasty. They have a ton of unique bagel flavors. Whenever we’re in Fountain Hills, we always stop at Dj’s and we’ve even made the drive just for this shop. Definitely recommended and worth the drive 🙂
