Delicious food and huge portions. Not much seating – maybe 14 at the bar with two seating areas with room for 5 each (a couch and three comfy chairs at each area). Friendly service. Can’t wait to go back again and try more of the menu.

All the foods are big, and they tasted pretty good! Only little complaint was crab Rangoon, the wonton sheet was still raw inside, and the dressing was ketchup. Customer service was nice and quick, and all customers there were really nice and even happy to share their foods. But if you are not an extroverted person, this place may make you uncomfortable.

I would sleep outside in the rain, snow, sleet or hail like a postman that needed a paycheck for this food. French onion dip is heavenly. Who am I kidding?! Everything was heavenly. The service, the music, the atmosphere and the FOOD. I’m told the menu changes so I’ll be visiting from FL more often. This chef is the Freddie Mercury of the kitchen. This is everything Olive Garden wishes they were with the “When you’re here you’re family.” slogan. Small quaint atmosphere, neighborly patrons and hard working staff. You may wait on spots to open up, the kitchen might not be open every night. However, when you do sit down, the magic starts. The Dizzy Drinks are delicious and the variety of flavors in the food blend into a truly beautiful experience on your taste buds. The portions are very generous, especially for the money. The music is memorable and the decor perfectly matches the quad cities. Make sure you make it an evening to come out. I will always love the Dizzy Horse.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, intimate, and intentional. The service was impeccable in a way that felt effortless: friendly but not intrusive, quick without feeling rushed, and genuinely caring. The bartender was fantastic — knowledgeable, personable, and clearly passionate about what they do.
But the standout detail that absolutely sets this restaurant apart is the chef. Not only does he sign every plate that leaves the kitchen, but he personally comes out to speak with every guest. That touch alone tells you everything you need to know about the pride and heart behind this place. It made the entire experience feel personal, almost like being invited into someone’s home for a special meal.
And then… the food.
I am someone who always thinks food smells better than it tastes — until now. This meal was a complete exception. Every component was deeply flavorful, balanced, and clearly crafted with intention. You can taste the technique and the passion in every bite. It’s honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had, anywhere.
The portions were incredibly generous (I left with leftovers for days!) and the pricing is beyond fair for the quality you’re getting. It’s rare to find a place that delivers this level of excellence while still remaining accessible.
Overall, this restaurant combines heartfelt hospitality, exceptional cooking, and a personal touch that you simply don’t find very often anymore. It’s the kind of place you instantly want to tell everyone about — and at the same time keep as your own hidden gem.

Fantastic chef-driven, meat-centric dive bar influenced by cuisine from Latin America to Asia, accompanied by ice cold beer and creative cocktails. Chef Toby works hard to bring his vision to life, so hours may be inconsistent and waits are, to be honest, totally worth it. I am a big guy who never needs a to go box, yet I had to request one for my meal. Absolutely fantastic! The one star review is by their own request, it’s a Dizzy thing.

First time here at the Dizzy Horse. Take out Tuesday. Met 2 nice fellas outside while waiting. As soon as we got in we placed our order and sat down and had a Cherry Bomb Blonde. We live in Annawan, which is a 40+ minute drive with traffic and lights. We could smell the food being cooked and it was great. Inside bar area was nice, clean and everyone was super nice. We got home and took pictures of each item we ordered. Everything was outstanding! Dizzy Horse lived up to all the hype. Absolutely will return.
