Wanted to love it, but unfortunately the food just wasn’t that great. Especially for the high prices. My husband enjoyed his chicken kabob and the falafels were okay. I think the biggest disappointments for us were the rice and hummus as both were pretty bland. The “saffron” rice is just plain white rice with the tiniest drizzle of saffron oil on top. I expected it to be really flavorful and aromatic but it really is just plain white rice with no flavor at all. The service was quick and the restaurant was very clean but unfortunately the food just wasn’t good enough to make us want to be repeat customers.

Food was the best Persian food I’ve tried in Washington, very juicey cuts of meat lots of flavor. The mirza ghasemi was delicious as well definitely recommend as a appetizer. The interior is beautiful I feel like I’m in Iran.

We had a great experience at Diyar Restaurant. The kebabs were delicious and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was beautiful and very comfortable, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The customer service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, a wonderful place to spend time and enjoy great food. I will definitely come back again.

Diyar completely exceeded my expectations. The inside is beautiful and the atmosphere is really nice. The service was amazing. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome.
I ordered the Soltani platter and the King platter, and both were incredible. The meat was perfectly cooked, the portions were generous, and everything was packed with flavor.
After eating here, I can confidently say this is the best Persian food I’ve had in Washington. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Really great experience here. The restaurant has a beautiful interior and the whole place gives off an authentic Persian vibe. I highly recommend the Taste of Persia. It’s a great option if you want to try a variety of different kabobs all in one order. Everything we had was flavorful and cooked perfectly.
Our server Parsa was also great. He helped us decide what to order and made some really good recommendations, we ended up loving everything we got. The service was friendly and attentive the whole time. Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re looking for authentic Persian food in a really nice setting.

I just had the food here and it was absolutely amazing. The people were so kind and attentive. The food is so fresh and authentic. If you want to have good Persian food in Washington, I would recommend Diyar. As someone with an Iranian mother that makes amazing homemade Persian food, I can say they do an amazing job making you feel at home. The whole atmosphere is warm and hospital.
