I was in the area and decided to stop in for a quick bite. I think I made a great choice. I tried the shrimp po boy sandwich with fries. It was pretty good.

Huge fan of this small, local restaurant in Malvern. The upcakes and sandwiches are great, love the presentation of the lunch boxes. My only complaint would be the atmosphere/employees lack of engagement with customers…I understand that business struggle with staffing nowadays, though this is the type of restaurant you’d expect a “mom & pop” type of vibe from….and its simply lacking that. I will say that Fridays tend to be more uplifting, as well as the summer months.

This restaurant has a good selection of breakfast and lunch items. You can buy what they call a “boxed lunch” and it includes a sandwich, side and upcake. Yes, a upcake. They are upside down cupcakes that were incredibly moist and delicious. I had turkey on rye and my side was cole slaw. It all was good but I think the rye was kind of stale because it fell apart. There are places to sit inside although I believe they do a lot of carryout because of the boxed lunch idea and the amount of businesses in this shopping center. I’d definitely visit again.

Amazing service for a large order! Call the shop and placed the order for pick up only an hour and half before needing to pick up and they were able to get everything together! The group loved the sandwich boxes and all the sides included. Will be recommending this to other teams in the area!

Fantastic new discovery for me. Wanted to grab lunch after a meeting before I drive to the airport to pick up someone.

Boxed Lunches, Pimento Cheese Sandwiches, Deviled Eggs, “Upcakes” and fresh baked bread and rolls. I was in heaven.
Here you order and pay at the counter and they call your name. Plenty of self serve seating or take your goodies home.
I ordered the Thanksgiving Dinner Sandwich Box Lunch. House Roasted Turkey, Stuffing, Whole Cranberry Sauce and mayo on house baked Sally Lunn Roll. Comes with a choice of sides, deviled egg and an Upcake.
This meal was simply fantastic!
Oh…Yes….The Upcakes are tender, moist upside down cupcakes iced on the sides and bottom….MORE ICING PER CAKE!

Bought an assorted half dozen Upcakes and a warm loaf of house made multi grain bread to take home.

Food is very good! I got the chicken salas sandwich it was fresh and tasty. Potato salad was also good! Highly recommend and would go back again! 🙂

This is a great place for lunch. Very pleased that they have the option for Gluten Free bread for their sandwiches without sacrificing the great taste. Best well balanced cole slaw I have had. Also a cool concept to have a deviled egg in boxed lunches.

Located in Malvern, PA, this little franchise restaurant is a gold mine tucked in a little strip mall who’s character and southern charm is so big that they have to have an outside seating area. The food was wonderful, the employees went out of their way to please us, and the story behind the business makes you want to come back again and again. I ordered the Bette’s Boxed Lunch with the roast beef and provolone sandwich, on Sally Lunn bread. (Picture a hamburger bun, sheet cake style, cut in triangles.) . It comes with a deviled egg, and I chose the potato salad for my side, which was topped with a sweet pickle, and the peach “upcake” for my dessert. Washed the whole thing down with a Coca-Cola, and I was stuffed to the gills. I grew up loving PA Dutch cooking, but this southern stuff is a close second. “Momma wisely taught her daughters at an early age to learn to bake, knowing they’d need more than good looks to get them a husband”. Love that!
