We stumbled across this diner by accident and we were glad we did. Food was good. Service was better and the root beer floats were even better. We decided to go to a 50s diner to celebrate by Dad’s birthday. He would have been 84 today and he would have loved the place. Miss you Dad 143

Great little hidden gem of a place. The server (I assume owner) is incredibly kind. I really enjoyed myself. I’m glad I came here. It’s a little old steel building, but inside is bright and felt very welcoming. Super tasty food. I’ll be back for sure.

Great burgers and atmosphere is chill! We caught the Saturday rush so service took about 20 minutes which is alright.
Portion sizes are kinda small especially if you’re a bigger person. Definitely need to get 2 combos.

8/8/22 First of all,My family and I have been super excited that someone bought our old Favorite eating spot Herrins!
The establishment is only a few minutes away from home, so its super convenient to grab dinner or a snack whenever! The diner just opened a week ago so I know they need some time to get the kinks out. And I do wish them the best of luck . This is my honest review. Hopefully taken with constructive criticism. Lol as Im not being ugly so I’ll try to word this the best I can. Later on when I give them a chance again, in a month or so they should be good and settled in and hopefully deserve a 5star review then I will change my review.
Ok here goes…
Yesterday dinner time myself and my 3 children and my sons GF decided to try Dixie Diner out for our 1st time! We arrived at 5:30ish, was greeted and our drinks were brought to us right away.Which was nice but.. the Sweet tea My son and I ordered, was not near strong enough Tea or enough sugar to be called sweet tea. Neither of us drank them. Waitress Came back a few min later to get our order. We ordered two appetizers, fried pickles and corn nuggets. Same time we ordered our meals which were roast beef Poboy meal, BYO Burger meal, Chicken Tender meal, Grilled chicken sandwich meal and lastly Country Fried Steak meal. So we waited and waited..finally…6:20 our Appetizers came out. Yay! We was starving at that point! Three minutes into our appetizers our Entrees came out! Time to eat an hour later. My hamburger fully dressed add peppers came to me as a cheeseburger cheese only! She apologized and had it fixed promptly. HB patty was weird to me as it was crumbly and broken and wasn’t a good quality of burger at all! Couldn’t eat more than half.
Fried Pickles was great but portion for $7 I feel it was skimpy. Same for the corn nuggets. My daughter when asked her opinion on her RB Poboy was , Mom I don’t know how this even makes since but it was Dry!How is a RB Poboy Dry?She Wouldn’t order it again. Dang.. Other daughter with the Chicken Tender Basket. Only thing I would change is add maybe a bigger handful of fries instead of a small order. She had no complaints. Next..Country Fried Steak &Gravy. The HB Steak was good around the edges but the whole center was Gristles! She couldn’t eat it! We’re all disappointed at this point! Besides my little one with the Chicken tenders. Lol My son with the grilled chicken sandwich meal…Well I won’t post here what his Opinion was. He was not happy to be paying for it I will say that at the least.
I tried to keep it positive and said let’s give them another chance in a while when they’ve gotten the hang of it&worked out the kinks.
8/9/22 My husband stops by after school for our little one a ice cream and himself a milkshake today. His milkshake was literally a regular size cup half full! Are you kidding me?? Who gives someone HALF a cup of milkshake? LMBO Y’all better get with the program! That’s crazy. IM ♀️!!!

The food was delicious. I ordered the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes, gravy, and greens beans. The hamburger steak was seasoned so well and the gravy was top notch. My husband ordered the roast beef poboy with gravy, and he was overly impressed with how delicious it was. We drove a good 40 minutes just to order out, and it was so worth it. This is my favorite diner, and we will visit often. My kids got the chicken nugget meal, and it was yummy too. The chicken nuggets are handbattered and soooo good. Let me not forget the delish rootbeer float I ordered too. This place has great quality food!!

Don’t judge it by the outside! Go in, sit, relax, order, and enjoy. 5 senior adults enjoyed lunch on a Monday. Club sandwich & fries was quality & tasty. Cheeseburgers were too! Shrimp tacos were too! Apple cranberry salad was too! We will go back to enjoy the wonderful service and food.
