I took my non speaking Creole self , with no back up to order some griot!
There was a bit of a communication issue, but then someone walked in and was able to translate for me.
Next time ,I will be sure to have my Google translate up and ready!
Anyway, I grew up in Miami and have been in NC for the past 16 years. I was so happy to find a local Haitian restaurant.
I paid $27 for a large griot complete and a Jamaican Cola.
I had sooo much food! I was able to split it into 3 portions and put 2 in the fridge.
Well worth the money and so delicious. ,

This was our first time trying Haitian food and it was amazing! The restaurant is quite small, but very cozy inside and felt welcoming right away. We ordered the Griot (fried marinated pork) and it was absolutely delicious—tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned.
My friend got the fried chicken, and oh my.. fall off the home delicious as well!
The lady behind the counter was very friendly, though she didn’t speak much English. Not a problem though—we just pointed at the menu and she understood exactly what we wanted. It actually made the experience feel even more authentic.
Overall, the food, the atmosphere, and the hospitality were all excellent. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area. Highly recommend if you’ve never tried Haitian food before!

I ordered the fried fish and I don’t know where to begin the flavor alone was worth it. On top of the flavor the amount is well worth it. I love a good hole in the wall restaurant that is authentic. Mama George works so hard to prepare her meals, I highly recommend coming here if you looking for authentic Haitian cuisine.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with our dinners. We ordered two dinners a griot (pork) dinner and a poulet(chicken) dinner. Both dinners with rice & peas, tostones and a cabbage dish and a little pepper sauce mixture on the side. Everything was delicious! The portion size is fabulous. We actually had enough for leftovers today. Truly tasted like a home cooked meal. Friendly staff who even gave me a first time customer Gatorade!
We will definitely 100% come back again for takeout meals! Oh they do have sit down available too and you can even call ahead and place your order. If you love Haitian food, highly recommend and it you’ve never had Haitian food… this is a great place to try. You won’t be disappointed!

They opened LATE. At 1030am ..I went in to get my order….they said 10 minutes….so I went outside the wait and they Locked the door. So I could pick up my order …..the staff is rude and very unfriendly…..I hope they do better …also your in my country…..speak the language that you live in
