Randomly picked this place on a road trip. It was so good that we stopped on the way back for more. Service was great, and food came out fast. The veggie burger was fantastic, and the fries cooked perfectly. The pretzel bites, cheese curds, and fried pickles are a must!

I actually went here by mistake, but the two ladies who greeted me made me want to give Dive Bar & Restaurant a chance.
I’m glad I did. I had several in a new place. Thank you, Sam, for answering all my questions or going into the kitchen for an answer. Sam is one of the females who greeted me.
Let’s talk about the Pork Bellies , they were so good. They are not big chunky pieces or pork. These are cut into nice bite size, well flavored, with the right amount of BBQ sauce.
I I have to recommend their Mac and Cheese with Lobster.
3 cheeses with mac. The lobster was good size, not small pieces like I have had other places. You can see by the photos I have attached.
Sam, Corey, and the rest of the staff, thank you for making my first visit to Dive Bar & Restaurant very enjoyable.

I will be back, so many other dishes to try.

We were in West haven area. Decided to have meal near waterfront. Went for this one. Veggie burger was great so was the spicy mojito.

Gave this place another chance and we had a good time. Good burger, tuna tacos, and house chips. Nice beer selection and a very nice atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Very friendly service tonight.

I was really hoping for a great meal and experience but was ultimately let down on many fronts.
We were sat immediately despite still waiting for two members of our party. We were not given menus or asked for drinks for nearly 10 minutes. The one waitress seemed very impatient as my child decided what drink to get. (They don’t have milk or chocolate milk).
For dinner I had the “Maine” lobster roll. It was an abomination to the main lobster. It was small, dry and flavorless. I ate it, because it cost $30 and I was hungry, but it was close to inedible. It came with French fries which were decent. It did not come with melted butter as the menu claimed.
My friend had a poke bowl. The vegetables were cut WAY too large.
The place had a neat ambiance but was very loud and hard to hold a conversation.
I probably wouldn’t go back.

8.9.23 Parking lot next to the restaurant, which has indoor and outdoor seating. The menu has a little of everything from tuna and chicken Poke bowls to pulled pork nachos, burgers, etc. The food was amazing. We were a party of 4 that got seated right away. The drinks and food came out fast. Overall everything was superb!

The food came out in under 10 minutes, and the servers were very present, checking up on us immediately and frequently. The portions were bigger than I expected for the price of the steak and cheese. This place has a great beach view. I highly recommend this place. If you haven’t been since they expanded the interior you’re in for a treat. I’d say it made a big difference in the atmosphere and experience.

Food is from “upstairs” Port of Call, but I preferred the vibes downstairs at the Dive. Really awesome to be served that quality of food in a bar that feels cozy and laid back. 10/10 worth the hour drive if you’re near New Haven.

We stopped by this restaurant after visiting the IKEA nearby and wanted to take my parents to experience an American restaurant. We aren’t local but are very happy about our experience here! The portion is huge and food is very reasonably priced. We ordered too much food and ended up packing most of the the food to go. The location was great, right next to the ocean so you got the full ocean view. It was a hot day when we were there and we almost felt like we were at a beach in Florida, which we really loved for living more to the south end of CT (near New York). The service was great and the food came pretty quickly. We liked every dish we had. The fries were really good! The only thing might be more at the bland end is the mahi mahi tacos. I’d come again if we visit this area again!
