Ate at this dumpling spot in Mosaic. I didn’t even realize it was there until my friend mentioned it as a place to eat lunch.

You order at the register and they bring out the dumplings to you as they are cooked.

Each of the dumplings we ordered were delicious. But I think the soup dumpling was the best!

Quaint and intimate inside and you go up and order yourself if you’re eating in. The price can seem a little high but then you get 10 dumplings, much more than the usual 6 or so I’m used to. I got the pork and Chinese celery dumpling (I got pan-fried, you can get them steamed if you want). The filling is generous and juicy, and they make them fresh while you wait. The tea selections are refreshing too, perfect for a bite to eat before exploring the Mosaic district.

Great place to stop for some dumplings in the area. Always make it a point to visit when I’m in the area.

Most times when I visit there is little to no wait, which is great for planning to pick up food. Don’t expect frilly extras, there are essentially 3-4 types of fillings, and you can decide on pan fried or steamed (I usually go for fried).

When it comes to flavor, these have always been consistently good. I tend to like their pork and shrimp, with a close second being the beef curry. The dumplings are always hot and crunchy on one side. The fillings are always flavorful, and hit the spot. Yes, they are not amazing and worth some kind of special stop, but especially for the price in the area you can’t beat it.

If you’re in the area and need a dumpling fix, you know where to find it!

Seriously so impressed with this place. You’ve got to try the shrimp dumpling special with the house sauce. The texture was sooo perfect. Also loved all the options for the pick 10 dumplings dish. The lemongrass chicken was our favorite but all were tasty. I loved all of the vegetarian options as well. I tried a few squash and cheese dumplings and loved the flavor combination. Would 100% recommend and come back.

I’ve had my eye on District Dumplings for some time and got to stop in today. Since it was just me eating lunch, I went with the standard order of pork & shrimp dumplings (10pc) and the Hong Kong shumai (8pc). My wife grabbed a drink and didn’t realize for just that the total was just over $32 (admittedly that’s on me for not giving the prices a better review.)

The dumplings came out after a little bit and looked pretty good. I tried the shumai first. They’re pretty dense and well filled. I felt like they were fairly middle-of-the-road shumai. I couldn’t quite make out the shrimp in them. I think they benefitted from the included sweet soy because they had a basic flavor, not bad, but not complex.

The pork and shrimp dumplings were just ok. I took a bit to see the filling and again, couldn’t really see the shrimp in there. I would have easily taken them for pork & chive dumplings. The dumplings skins were tender, though the very edges on a few seemed kind of dried out/more firm. I used a little black vinegar, again, giving a little more complexity of flavor.

Overall their food was fine, but personally I think the price point and quality don’t totally align with each other. I could see them being less expensive or upping the quality of their items.

Great dumplings! Obsessed! Would have given them 5 stars if they have allergy chart. My husband is allergic to Sesame and they can’t let us know if the dumplings has some. Would have been helpful for other customers. But all in all, it was amazing.

Purchased 4 varieties of dumplings for a group of us. While the dumplings were well filled and the wrappings tender, they really were all mediocre and lacked any punch, seasoning or intense flavors I would expect at a place that specializes in dumplings.

Not awful, but fell way short of similar restaurants I have eaten at and ordered from. I’ve had dumplings and dim sum from a variety of cities in the US and Asia and I really can’t recommend ordering from here.

The sweet dipping sauce had more flavor than any of the fillings. Disappointed as I really enjoy dim sum and dumplings, either authentic/traditional flavored or creative options like those that were offered by Ping Pong in DC (before it closed).

Be ready to transform to a low key Tokyo style Japanese place. The place is definitely has authenticity oozing out of it. Plus, the service is very good. The owner is kind and accommodating. We are vegetarians, but they have plenty of dumpling options. The first bite we took of the squash dumpling, amazing blast of flavors in the mouth. Same with the Buddha. These two were my top favorites knock out of the park. The taro and kale are also good, I’m not a fan of taro so I was ok with it but husband did like them. We also ordered the vegetarian shumami which usually is never available in vegetarian. It was great to try it. Overall, a great place, decent prices and delicious food.
