Had a great dinner at DiStasio’s Ristorante. The steak was cooked perfectly and everything was fresh and flavorful. Friendly service and a warm atmosphere. Definitely a great spot in Morro Bay. Highly recommend!

My partner and I walked in around 7pm on a Saturday and were at immediately. The staff is incredibly friendly and took our orders as soon as we were ready. We loved that their ravioli dish was more than just a few raviolis like most places, we left completely full and happy. I ordered the spinach cheese tortellini carbonara and loved it. I would return.

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and had a delightful experience. The service exceeded my expectations, starting from the warm greeting to the attentive care throughout the meal. The food was flavorful, well-seasoned, and offered generous portions. I particularly enjoyed the tiramisu cake, which was a highlight of the meal.

One small suggestion for improvement would be to consider serving olive oil and balsamic vinegar with the bread instead of butter; I think that would enhance the dining experience even more. Overall, it was a wonderful visit!

Wonderful food and service. The only disappointment we had was that they no longer serve Artichoke hearts. I’d heard that they were really good. Oh well menu’s change.
We had baked lasagna with Italian sausage and meat sauce, and eggplant Parmesan. My friend said the Lasagna was wonderful it is her favorite. I had the eggplant Parmesan very, very good. The waitress was excellent her name is Jade. Very personable and attentive. We spoke with the owner and his son Mark which I just found is the chef. My compliments to you. Thank you for a wonderful meal. We will be back.

The best italian food and service in Morrow bay. The best italian restaurant we’ve been to period. The pizza and eggplant parmesan was amazing. I highly recommend a spamoni ice cream cake.

I got the Marcos Summer Chicken Delight in the restaurant and found it to be a beautiful dish. Very delicious. I also got the Spumoni icecream cake slice for desert and found it to be balanced and delicious. I ordered another slice for takeout a few days later and was served a slice that only had one flavor in it. Still delicious, but not what I was expecting after the first slice where all three flavors were present.

Enjoyed this place very much!! I had the Meat Ravioli con Quattro Formagio and my hubby had the filet mignon. Both were outstanding!!!!! His filet was melt in your mouth fantastic. The ravioli was the best I’d ever had honestly.

Shrimp scampi was the blandest rendition I’ve had. Melowdramatic perhaps but the Alfredo sauce ruined my night; the wateriest, ranch looking version we’ve ever had—Olive Garden would have been a big step up. Atmosphere was nice enough and the service was nice, they replaced my first dish I didn’t like at all with a second dish that I didn’t bother to eat much of either before getting the check. Wine was good.

I had Lasagna with the Meat sauce and a Italian Sausage. It was good, but not great. The sauce was a little watery and not thick and tasty. The sausage was better.
Wife had the Steak Braciole and she said it was excellent . The Garlic bread was also good.
There were no Cocktails, Italian or otherwise, just beer and wine.
So 4 Pentacle ⭐⭐⭐⭐ review. Wiccan approved, but not excited.
Owner mentioned that he saw us in his dreams. Not sure what it meant.

Tonight I took myself out on a little date to DiStasio’s Ristorante. It is a Monday night and I was craving some Italian food. I used Google to make a reservation for one. It was a slow night upon my arrival but that was fine with me. The ambience was relaxed and homey. The owner even came out to check on his guests.

I was immediately greeted at the door by the hostess who sat my at a small table in near a window. It took a little while for the server to come over, however, I wasn’t in a hurry. Since I had the time to look over the menu and the wine menu I knew what I wanted by the time she came over to take my order.

A friendly and polite woman came over and made an apology for taking time to come to my table. It was appreciated. I ordered the Bruschetta appetizer with a glass of Chianti and a main course of Spaghetti with meatballs (a classic).

The wine was very tasty. It was tart, with a medium acidity, and medium in body just like it was meant to be. The bruschetta was served with half cut and thinly sliced tomatoes, which in my opinion is better than diced tomatoes. The flavor was delightfully tart and herbal with a high note right at the end that hit the back of the pallet. The balsamic vinaigrette that made this happen was strong, but it had a good flavor. It made me want to eat just the tomatoes off each piece of bread.

Finally the Spaghetti and meat balls came. The noodles were not heavy or anything that you would buy in a grocery store labeled “spaghetti”. These were light and airy and unbroken which made the noodles very long. (I should have asked for or been given a spoon to wind the noodles onto the fork, but I made it work.) the sauce was flavorful and I could tell that it was homemade. It made me feel warm inside and brought back memories of when I used to have the time to make my own sauce. There was no harsh or heavy tomato taste and no bitterness. I could taste that it was made with care. The meatballs were cooked just right with no pink middle and cut easily with a fork. I kept using the meat to sop up the sauce and I almost couldn’t stop eating it!

Finally I took home a piece of tiramisu.

All in all my experience was wonderful and one day I will go back and try their chicken parmigiana!

Price for all of this was about $45. Which I found pretty reasonable for this economy, but the food itself was worth it!
