Dish Society is counter service for breakfast, lunch, and brunch, and full service for supper and social hour. Dedicated to using the highest quality and freshest ingredients possible, Dish Society sources a majority of its items locally from suppliers such as Atkinson farms, Black Hill Ranch, Sustainable Harvesters, and Slow Dough Bread Company among others. The all-day diner turns out a seasonally changing menu with healthful modern twists on traditional favorites. In addition to the robust coffee program by Greenway Coffee, guests can enjoy healthful juices and elixirs, a rotating selection of local craft beers, an approachable wine list, and hand crafted cocktails (excluding San Felipe) served in a modern industrial atmosphere.

My food was well worth the money, Honestly I attempted to play it safe and got cheated out a ray of great options. Everyone plate at our meeting looked inviting, the staff was wonderful and attentive also the deserts were great. Overall I had a beautiful experience, I’d go again minus the meeting BTW it would’ve be great to see a sample platter on the menu for the big back people in the rear !

Great service and food! I tried the HOUSE BREAKFAST TACOS: scrambled vital farms eggs, bacon, white cheddar, on flour tortillas. Very good breakfast taco . Instead of black beans I substituted for a biscuit. I visited Dish Society right upon opening for a good breakfast before a day full of meetings. I was able to utilize the WiFi with no issues after obtaining the passcode.

Great from the moment we walked in on a Tuesday morning. You order at the counter when you walk in and them seat yourself. I ordered the breakfast skillet with no jalapeños and my bf ordered the breakfast tacos. We also ordered a latte and cortado which came out before we got our food. They were nice to sip on while waiting for our food to arrive at the table. Shortly after our food was brought out and it looked so good. Quickly snapped our pics and dug right in. Everything was so fresh and cooked to perfection. I will say the skillet was greasy, but I didnt mind because it was worth it. Loved the vibe and the atmosphere. The little pops of yellow was nice.

I’ve been a frequent Dish Society customer for years, and the shrimp and grits have always been my go‑to. I recently visited after being away for about a year, and I left really disappointed. I ordered my usual shrimp and grits, and while I expected the price increase—everything has gone up with inflation—I didn’t appreciate the higher price paired with a noticeably smaller portion.
This dish has always been filling and satisfying, but this time the bowl looked almost empty. It felt like there was just a thin layer of grits spread around the bottom with the shrimp and sauce on top. For a dish I’ve loved for so long, it was surprising to see such a drastic change.
On a positive note, the pancakes are still just as good as I remember.

OMG! I just had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Dish Society! What a beautiful atmosphere of natural light, excellent customer service and TOTALLY AMAZING FOOD! I was greeted so kindly by Cliff and Julie served the food and made me feel like the King of Houston. I met the General Manager Elizabeth and she was kind, professional and very accommodating. This will be one of my new restaurants to visit frequently! A restaurant that is ALIVE is worth the DRIVE!!!

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. My only disappointment was not having a picture menu. I need a visual reference. I’d suggest a full picture menu online, I know it’s too expensive for in house menu.

I was pleasantly surprised and very much content with my order of chicken tacos. It was truly good til the last bite. When I have that last bite in my mouth and I’m savoring and enjoying it. You get my stamp of approval. That says a lot because I’m so put off of restaurants these days by low portions, and quality coupled with high prices. The price was reasonable and the meal exceeded my expectations. Score!

This was my first visit, I purchased the apple pecan salad with no protein. I would like to know what is it about that salad that the owner feels like it was worth $15.16? I expected to be blown away with the flavor of the sald dressing at least. It was disgusting. It was such a complete turn off I’m not even willing to give this place a second chance! If you’re going to charge and outrageous price at least let the flavor be something to brag about! You should be ashamed of yourself every time you charge that amount for a salad that’s not even mediocre.

The food is great the majority of the time. Of course, I can’t always have perfect “A” food as often as I visit, but the majority of the time, it is. I have tried a variety of their selections, and it is amazing every time. The staff is always ready to help and is of service, yes, they are friendly. The atmosphere is one of the best as they are along 11th, and the view and the open view along with the outside seating is fantastic. This gives it a unique feel. It could be unique to The Heights locale.
