Dirty Taco is a hybrid of a Los Angeles taco truck and Miami liquor stand
with an authentic urban feel. An interesting twist to a classic Mexican style,
Dirty Taco incorporates Asian elements into their menu. Dirty Taco believes in “living clean and eating Dirty”.

Went for dinner on a Saturday night, it was bustling. The tacos were really good, our group tried a good variety from the menu. Personally, I had the Cuban and the Dirty Taco and was very pleased. Appetizers were very good, ordered their loaded tater tots, corn and sweet plantains.
Their dessert was decent. We had their version of apple pie ala mode. The apple filling was wrapped in a wonton casing, which was good but the folded parts were a bit tough and chewy.
Parking lot filled up but there seemed to be ample street parking.

The food here was delish!! Had the Mexi street fries, Korean chicken bowl and Bang Bang shrimp tacos. Gina was a gem in recommending some of the choices.
The chicken in the Korean bowl could have been more tender but it did not take away from the experience. Everything was so tasty, served hot and full of flavor!

The manager David and server Sophia made the evening great. David gave a full rundown on how things go at the Dirty Taco. Mix and match 3 for $10 tacos. No special order on the Asian flare menu (in order to keep the theme solid). Our server Sophia was very attentive and patient with us as first-time dinners at the establishment.

Dirty Taco in Wantagh absolutely crushed it for lunch! Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the vibe was just as fantastic. Our waitress was awesome and we really enjoyed all the tacos. If you’re looking for a delicious and fun lunch spot, this is it!

In Long Island for a quick weekend we stopped by this place. For a place called Dirty Taco I can assure you it was very clean and the service was pretty quick. This place is a franchised restaurant so there are other places you can find this food. I’d say the food is that of an elevated sports bar with an inventive twist of cross culturalism. It wasn’t bad and also had a good drink menu.

Went here with two friends last night. They said the wait would be 15-20 mins. It was longer than that. There was no room at the bar at that moment, so we waited in the waiting area, which was very cold. We finally had some drinks and they were good. I liked the jalapeño tequila.
We finally sat down and ordered some apps. The menu looks amazing, but I felt it was very hit or miss. For our apps we had the chips and guac, some wings, and the habanero ribs. I had been looking forward to the ribs all day since I checked the menu online earlier in the day. There is a little chili pepper on the menu next to it and I love spicy food. The meat was so tender and that was good. But it lacked flavour. It was a total let down. The wings were good and the chips and guac were good. But nothing special.
We then ordered tacos and one of my friends and I cut our order down from what was originally planned because the apps were nothing special.
The tacos came and they were nothing special. I ordered the Ahi taco and the special Korean short rib taco. The short ribs were very tender, but again lacked flavour. The Ahi tuna was refreshing, but again it was nothing special and not spicy as advertised on the menu. My friend got a Birria taco and that had flavour.
I felt disappointed. It was Taco Tuesday and I probably should have just done the 3 for $10 deal. The special tacos are hit or miss. Food lacks flavour and spice and is bland. The place is also very small and loud.
I come to LI about once a year and was hoping to make this the new place to get together at, but no. My other two friends will probably not return. Please add flavour to the food!

A truly unique experience from our perspective. Yes, we had to wait 40 minutes for a table for 4 on a Tuesday but well worth it!!! The choices were many, where we were already planning what to eat the NEXT time we have the opportunity to eat either here or maybe the one in Smithtown where our daughter lives. The tacos were stuffed and 3 each were almost two much for me and and my son (we’re not small guys lol!). The wait staff were friendly and very attentive.

If you’re going to Dirty Taco, do it the right way — start with the birria. It’s an absolute must. Rich, juicy, perfectly spiced, and dipped in that deep, flavorful consommé that hits every time. I pair it with the sweet plantains (non-negotiable for me), and it’s the perfect balance of savory and sweet.
Pro tip: grab a seat at the bar. After 6pm, the Latin music comes on and the whole place shifts into full vibe mode — lively, fun, and exactly the energy you want for dinner and drinks. The atmosphere, the food, the music… it all works together. I keep coming back for the same order and it never misses. Easily one of my go-to spots.

I had gotten take out a few times which was alright, average. We weren’t really greeted when we walked in. I was with a four year old but we were seated at a table with tall seats which was complicated with a small child. A family with two young kids came in right after us and were offered a table with lower seats that would be easier for the kids. Not sure why I wasn’t offered that. A waiter also offered their kids New Year’s Eve paper crowns but didn’t offer one to my daughter. The food was pretty average, definitely not authentic Mexican. Our waiter was friendly, but not being greeted when we walked in just didn’t set the tone for a great experience. Wont be coming back.

Dirty Taco in Wantagh is hands down the best! The 2 times I’ve been, the food has been hot and fresh and extremely tasty! The service is always great as well. The staff is very inviting, warm and helpful. That’s always a plus. I will definitely be going back.
