Awesome gourmet hot dog joint. I had the Cleveland Rocks, Chili Dog, and tater tots with melted cheese. Everything came out hot and was absolutely delicious. We sat at the bar and were well attended to during our entire dinner. Can’t wait to back and try more of the menu.

First time checking this place out and it’s pretty cool! I got the chili dog and sauerkraut dog with fries. The chili dog was pretty good but the sauerkraut dog wasnt that great. Ill definitely try other hotdogs!

Honestly, one of the top 3 hot dogs I’ve ever had—super fresh and tasty. The toppings were creative and actually added flavor.
The staff was great—chill, friendly, and our server kept checking in and refilling without us even asking. It was still crowded even after midnight, which says a lot. Perfect spot for a late dinner or midnight munchies. Laid-back vibe, quick bite or takeout style, and totally worth it.

Best hot dogs I’ve ever had. They have such a wide selection of different toppings and decently priced as well. It feels like a very welcoming and calm atmosphere. There is art work to look at all over the walls as well. 10/10 will eat a Weiner there again.

Franks Restaurant offers great food, great service and a pleasant atmosphere at reasonable prices. The bartenders are friendly and courteous and the variety of hot dogs is highly recommended. Came in here on a recent visit to Columbus after seeing all of the fantastic reviews, hoping to find a good hot dog stand. Maybe it was just the time we went, but I could not have been more wrong.
The Dogs
I got the Chicago dog, and it definitely had some ups in the bumpy ride of eating this glizzy. The dog itself was fine. It would have held its own in a simpler recipe with fewer toppings to conceal it. The bun was good, well-flavored with the poppy seeds you would expect from a Chicago style establishment. The pickle was delicious, with a nice snap and good flavor.
However, this is the end of my praise for the dog, as frankly things quickly go downhill from here. The tomatoes were chopped much too large to fit in the bun, and even after containing their escape, they were watery and did not have much flavor. The relish was heaped onto the dog in quantities that dwarfed the glizzy, and all other condiments, concealing the onion flavor entirely.
The Fries
We got the raunchy fries, which were… okay? The fries had the texture of being under a heat lamp for an extended time, but somehow none of the heat. However, the ranch topping was fairly seasoned and would have been delicious given better fries underneath.
The Root Beer
I think I just had bad luck on this one. The root beer taste itself was great (as expected) but the carbonation was extremely weak and the temperature was almost room temperature. I wouldn’t expect ice cold from an on-tap drink with no ice in it, but I expected it to at least feel cold to the touch when I grabbed the glass, which this was not.
All in all, we may have gone on an off day, but I won’t be going out of my way to try this again.

My experience was amazing! Spectacular customer service! Everyone was so welcoming and kind, from the host to the bartender. I never had to remind anyone about refilling my beverage. Also, the “Cowgirl Carmen” hot dogs I got were delicious! I will most definitely be coming back!

After leaving the Columbus Downtown Library my young daughter, we wanted something fun to eat. The Staff and atmosphere were very inviting, and kid friendly while also allowing Dad to have a drink. The food well priced, delicious, and came out fast. 2 other families showed up with kids, Dirty Frank’s is a perfect Sunday meal with the kiddos.
