We had a party of 10 on a Sat. over 4th of July wknd. and we got seated in 20min. Our four apps came out in what seemed like only five min. Our entrees came out promptly and correct as well. All the food was so good and the portions I feel were very fare for the price.

Many people recommended this restaurant so perhaps I went in with high expectations. I will even preface with perhaps dining with a group of eight also played a role in my experience.

Great place to just chill..Blackened red snapper and chicken shrimp basket were super yummy and the pinacoladas were delicious! The location is pretty great..we sat outside with the warm breeze, watching the boats and birds pass by. Overall a beautiful vibe..would definitely go back when I visit SPI again!

We had heard and read some good things about Dirty Al’s, but it did not live up to the hype. We came on a Saturday night and it was pretty popping, a little difficult and confusing to find parking if it’s your first time as they have a trailer park right beside it. We waiting about 10-15 minutes to be seated. The server was nice, and the patio at the back by the marina is pet friendly. We came with a party of 7. As you would expect from the name, the vibe is very casual and laid back, nothing fancy about it. We ordered the fried shrimp platter, and a fried shrimp, oyster, and fish platter. The servings were pretty small, and the fries were oversalted. Tartar sauce was ok, nothing special. The seafood was solid, also nothing spectacular – you could probably get something comparable or better at your local Bubba gumps. Unfortunately, we didn’t really have any luck with food during our weekend trip to SPI so maybe this is normal for the area? Will have to try out some new places next time.

Dirty Al’s showed some promise on arrival with some fresh sea food on display. Quickly things went down hill, our large party was seated at the back by the bathrooms and almost no air-conditioning could be felt. Mixed drinks were good but the appetizers were disappointing, the ceviche was cooked fish/shrimp mixed with fresh onion, tomato, and cilantro. Not at all what real ceviche should be. Oysters Rockefeller was OK but cheap American cheese. The main dishes were the biggest disappointment, anything fried was decent but the blackened black drum was over cooked and mostly not palatable. I personally ordered fried black drum which they mistakenly blackened, they did remake it and it was good. However they then informed me it was an incomplete order and delivered 2 more fillets, these were the blackened pieces that were breaded and fried. It was the most unprofessional move I have seen in a long while.

The food was very good! I had the fish basket and my kids had the burgers. The crab cake is meh, I wouldn’t recommend, not $8 for one. One of the burgers was under cooked, the manager was very polite and apologetic! The bathrooms were a bit dirty! One major issue I had was the bus service. They waited by our table staring at us awkwardly. They cleaned our table without giving us a chance to leave. One of the ladies even SNATCHED the basket from my wife. If it wasent for the other lady with her correcting her I would have. The service needs work, Staff isn’t very inviting!! All in all the food is good however I WILL NOT RETURN! Good food isn’t enough to excuse rude behavior!

$1 oysters on Mondays is a win. Otherwise there’s not much else to this place. If the weather is good, sit outside and enjoy the ocean and sunset views.

If you are looking for fresh seafood on SPI, then Dirty Al’s is the place for you! The grilled blackened shrimp was fabulous! Others in my party had the fried seafood platter, and fried shrimp and those were delicious too! Just an FYI, they only offer Ranch dressing if you order a salad, but give cocktail and tarter sauce with seafood dishes. Their fries are also great!
