This place was so good and exceeded our already high expectations! Our waitress, Anna, was so polite and helpful. She was very attentive and patient and provided great suggestions if we had questions. The salmon avocado toast was out of this world, the stuffed croissant French toast was amazing, the shrimp and grits were creamy and perfectly flavored, and the gluten free waffle was excellent. The Dubai chocolate cappuccino was delicious and just the right amount of sweet. Anna was also great with my husband’s service dog and offered us some free treats for him which was so nice. Would absolutely recommend this place and we will definitely be returning!

This was the most pleasant surprise! Dip and Happy is sure to leave you happy after visiting their cheery establishment.

They serve as both a coffee bar and a sit down cafe restaurant. Their menu is expansive, offering a wide variety of types of food, both American and Middle Eastern in origin.

We enjoyed the food, but the real deal for me is the coffee & baked goods offering.

I tried the ube latte and I am obsessed. Not only was it gorgeous with the vibrant purple tones, but the taste was divine- strong espresso flavor but smooth with the mix of milk and a bit of sweet with the ube. I haven’t stopped thinking about this latte since I last had it.

We also tried the baklava, which is homemade from the owners wife, and it did not disappoint one bit. Served with a scoop of ice cream, it was stilt with honey yet soft with a bit of crunch from the filo dough. Just so good.

Dip and Happy is a place that doesn’t stand out to me from the outside, but you must not miss this gem in downtown Tampa! And get the ube latte!!

We were greeted in a very friendly way from the moment we arrived. The place was extremely clean and had a great, cozy atmosphere. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful — the waffles were absolutely amazing! We also ordered a sandwich, and it was very tasty as well. The drinks were great, and my son completely fell in love with the milkshake
We will definitely come back next time!

One of the best breakfast experiences ever. The food was unique, tasty, and still breakfast. The coffee was excellent. Ana, our server was very attentive, kind, and accommodating. It’s not a big place, so not ideal for big families or groups. It wasn’t cheap but it was worth every penny.

Almost everything is made in-house. The menu has something for everyone: salads and quinoa, hot sandwiches, and waffles and desserts!

The smoothies were fantastic. I had the quinoa and kale bowl with steak. It was delicious but there was barely any kale in it lol. My fiance had the shakshuka bowl with grilled chicken, which he enjoyed.

Our server Anna was kind and attentive and answered all of our questions. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it started getting busy by the time we left around 2pm.

This place is great!! We went for breakfast this morning, I got a s’mores crepe and the pesto flatbread, my boyfriend got the shrimp and grits. All three dishes were absolutely delicious, I absolutely loved the crepe, it was covered in chocolate and the marshmallows were an amazing addition. Ana was incredible, so friendly and sweet! Definitely planning to go back with friends again sometime, I really want to try the chimichurri steak bowl they have it sounds amazing!

We stored our luggage with Dip and Happy through Bounce and also had a FANTASTIC meal. We had a group of 7 people, we were all tired, stressed and just came off a cruise ship. I loved the staff and how welcoming everyone was. We got some coffee, delicious food and it set our long day of travel on the right path. Thank you to Hyam over at Dip & Happy for taking great care of us.

I was looking for a good breakfast spot downtown and stumbled upon Dip and Happy. The name alone made me smile! After seeing so many glowing reviews, I decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did.

Parking can be a bit tricky since there’s no dedicated lot (just street parking and paid lots nearby), but it’s definitely worth the effort.

The service was warm and welcoming from the start. My mom is still talking about their shrimp and grits. Beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned, and paired with their house-made jalapeño cornbread, which was a hit. The menu is extensive, offering plenty of tempting breakfast and lunch options. I was especially impressed by their Dubai Chocolate selections, from the Dubai Chocolate waffles to the Strawberries & Pistachio Latte.

Can’t wait to come back and try more from this gem of a restaurant!

Everything here is amazing!! I got the chicken shawarma, brisket sandwich and the dubai waffles. Waffles were PHENOMENAL! would get again. Brisket was tender, flavorful and yummy 🙂 Chicken shawarma was a first for me and might no be for me but i’m glad I tried it. Could check on customers a little more but service was nice.

Slow service and a bit pricey for what you get.
The presentation here is nice, and I liked that they served the Turkish coffee with a side of water. However, the experience was held back by how long it took for the food to actually come out—definitely not the place to go if you’re in a hurry.

The meal itself was decent, but for the price point, the portions felt a little small. $20-25 (depending on the drink) for a few tenders and a side of fries is a bit steep when the value doesn’t quite match the wait. It’s an okay spot to hang out if you have plenty of time, but I’ve had better value elsewhere in the area.
