They serve as both a coffee bar and a sit down cafe restaurant. Their menu is expansive, offering a wide variety of types of food, both American and Middle Eastern in origin.
We enjoyed the food, but the real deal for me is the coffee & baked goods offering.
I tried the ube latte and I am obsessed. Not only was it gorgeous with the vibrant purple tones, but the taste was divine- strong espresso flavor but smooth with the mix of milk and a bit of sweet with the ube. I haven’t stopped thinking about this latte since I last had it.
We also tried the baklava, which is homemade from the owners wife, and it did not disappoint one bit. Served with a scoop of ice cream, it was stilt with honey yet soft with a bit of crunch from the filo dough. Just so good.
Dip and Happy is a place that doesn’t stand out to me from the outside, but you must not miss this gem in downtown Tampa! And get the ube latte!!
We will definitely come back next time!
The smoothies were fantastic. I had the quinoa and kale bowl with steak. It was delicious but there was barely any kale in it lol. My fiance had the shakshuka bowl with grilled chicken, which he enjoyed.
Our server Anna was kind and attentive and answered all of our questions. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it started getting busy by the time we left around 2pm.
Parking can be a bit tricky since there’s no dedicated lot (just street parking and paid lots nearby), but it’s definitely worth the effort.
The service was warm and welcoming from the start. My mom is still talking about their shrimp and grits. Beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned, and paired with their house-made jalapeño cornbread, which was a hit. The menu is extensive, offering plenty of tempting breakfast and lunch options. I was especially impressed by their Dubai Chocolate selections, from the Dubai Chocolate waffles to the Strawberries & Pistachio Latte.
Can’t wait to come back and try more from this gem of a restaurant!
The presentation here is nice, and I liked that they served the Turkish coffee with a side of water. However, the experience was held back by how long it took for the food to actually come out—definitely not the place to go if you’re in a hurry.
The meal itself was decent, but for the price point, the portions felt a little small. $20-25 (depending on the drink) for a few tenders and a side of fries is a bit steep when the value doesn’t quite match the wait. It’s an okay spot to hang out if you have plenty of time, but I’ve had better value elsewhere in the area.
