Pizza by the slice, dine in or take out even drive thru free refills on any fountain size beverage, they can easily run out of toppings, or other food options on menu, they even run out of parmesan cheese at dining tables because it’s so delicious. There’s plenty of seating for any size group and plenty of napkins. You can also watch them make the pizza up at the window located left of the cashier.
Great customer service.
Busy, busy, busy.

I have been to this location mamy times. I have never had an issue until recently. This is the second or third time the staff has completely ignored my order and added things I has specifically asked to not be in it. Sad to see how much this restaurant has gone down.

Damien and Emily at the front are respectful and need more recognition from Management

Cut the pizza, all the way, please. It ruins the pizza when You cannot remove the slices intact SMH.

Dions is one of my favorite restaurants in Albuquerque, unfortunately, this one just doesn’t match up to the others. VERY short on staff, and the one lady they had working at the registers was barely paying attention to anyone and had no idea what she was doing (a full lobby had built up because of her). Not to mention they always run out of ingredients (Iceberg Lettuce, Tomatoes) and they lost one of the items in our order. They were busy that night, but they always are, and i’ve been here in the past, so .i know they’re capable of handling busy crowds. The food here is always good though, so no points lost there. If you have the time and gas, just go to the Gibson or the Coors and Central location instead. I hope the quality of this location improves in the future.

Dion’s has always been one of my favorite spots, but the Rio Bravo location is absolutely the worst. Every single visit, the food is carelessly packaged and there’s always something missing from our order. After multiple conversations with management, who keep promising improvement, we’re still consistently served poor-quality food. This last experience, receiving our order in a dirty box, was unacceptable and shows exactly how little effort goes into making things right. No other Dion’s location in the area comes close to being this disappointing.

Very different and unique pizza spot! Expected more of a typical restaurant sit down waiter/waitress feel, but was pleasantly surprised. While the seating & atmosphere feels as such, you can actually order at the counter, and then go sit at a bench of your choosing. Plenty of seating, compared to a typical pizza shop, and cozy old school style. We opted for slices rather than getting a whole pizza, due to going to the movies right after. We were in a time crunch, and they quoted us 10 minutes for our food, and it was ready in 11. Slices we’re awesome, hot, and fresh! Extremely impressive with how busy they were. Awesome first experience, 5/5.

We waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged let alone have our order taken. Then we waited 30 minutes for a slice, a salad, and a half sandwich. 2 suggestions… make the drive up for called in orders only as 3 staff members had to keep running food out to waiting cars slowing down production, and secondly hire more staff if needed.

What a great experience! I went on 5/20/25 around noon. It was a Monday, so not too busy but definitely not barren. They sell their own dressings in small (16 oz or so) bottles, I recommend the Green Chile Ranch. This might sound like a strange compliment, so best with me: the pizza made me think of a larger Totino’s pizza, but obviously elevated and fresh. In my own odd way, that’s a very high compliment; I prefer Totino’s over several pizza places, and Totino’s can’t deliver fresh New Mexico Chiles. They also have Sub Sandwiches served with chips, and Salads. I was visiting from California and I look forward to eating at a Dion’s Pizza when I come back.
Almost forgot; besides the hearty heaping helping of hot cheese that wants to slide of the pie with steaming fresh toppings that will make you consider burning your mouth rather than wait, another reason I look forward to another visit is the humor of this place. Best example I found was the psychological profile of a small cup I found on the side of my drink. It delved into family archetypes and sibling rivalry/admiration. It’s a lot funnier than that description, and another point of interest that makes Dion’s stand out.

Always good fresh food. Great tasting pizza. We love the meatballs and cheese toast. The kids working there really hustle and are always polite (we frequent this place at least once a week).
