I love how family-friendly and fast the service is. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing it to-go, the staff is always kind and efficient. Plus, for the price, the portions are generous, making it an easy win for feeding the whole family without breaking the bank.
If you’re looking for a casual, consistent place to grab a good pizza (and maybe a killer sub or salad on the side), Dion’s is a great pick. It might not be fancy or super gourmet, but it absolutely delivers on flavor and value.
If you’re on any kind of schedule, do NOT go to this Dion’s location. The customer service is consistently poor.
The first time I visited, I simply wanted to buy a ball of dough—it took them 15 minutes just to get that ready. I brushed it off at the time, but after today’s experience, I felt it was necessary to leave a review.
I placed an online order that originally said it would be ready in 15 minutes. As I was finishing the order, it suddenly changed to 30 minutes with a scheduled pick-up time. This location has a drive-up window, so I went there. When I arrived, I was told it would be another 15 minutes. I received no communication about the delay—no text, no email, nothing. When I asked about it, the employee just gave me a confused look and said, “We’re just busy.”
Being busy is understandable, but the lack of communication is not. A simple update before I arrived—even a few minutes after the scheduled time—would have gone a long way.
Then to top it off, it wasn’t made very well either!
Needless to say, I pitched the pizza. Called Dion’s. I will get my refund in 3 days, where it took them minutes to take my money and I will not get my tip back.
Update to this review: I spoke with Jonathan M. Another manager, regarding this order. He completely made it right. I’ve offered to remove all charges remake the order and personally hand-deliver it. I would have accepted that with the first manager or just had the order replaced without the refund until the first guy acted as if it didn’t matter. At that point, I didn’t want to chance something being done to the meal that would have been inappropriate. But thank you, Jonathan, for making me feel that me and my business does matter.
*Update, the staff has reached out to me for a do-over so stay tuned!
