Fantastic food. Great atmosphere, great friendly service. OMG I went for lunch and had a spe call soup. A Garlic soup. Unbelievable! Fantastic. Then the Catfish Po boy! Again, Fantastic. My friend had the Shrimp Po Boy. He couldn’t finish his, and neither could I! Just greatfood, a must go to!
The service and staff were great.

Read the reviews and expected a dive bar. It is *in* a bar but that’s not the issue. We actually liked the music and the “dive bar” feel. I’m not a picky person but the guy BURNED burned the chicken. When I asked him about it he said “that’s because it’s the only way to get it to temperature” funny… no where else I’ve ever been had to burn chicken to get it to 165°. He offered to make something else, but the tone said he’d be happy to mess with it, too. The mozzarella sticks were good. 10/10 do NOT recommend getting the chicken since he doesn’t know how to cook it without burning it.

Typical bar surround. As a local Louisianian, I was intrigued by their gumbo reviews. It’s…fine: 3 star in New Orleans and 4 star in Missoula. Poboy bread is hard to find so it’s a good subway bread. The rice is basically an Uncle Ben’s rice. The rue is dark and solid. I didn’t see any sausage or shrimp but not unexpected bc this is Montana.
Paid for a cup to try it. I think it was $5 and we paid with a $10. We left after 15 minutes and realized we never received any change. Too lazy to walk back so…based on one cup of gumbo. It’s a nice place with decent potential.

Went for lunch. Had the catfish. I asked if they could grill it, instead of being fried. They were very nice and accommodating. The fish came out delicious. The fries were made perfectly.
I ate with a friend at the bar.
The bartender lady was friendly, very efficient and professional.
Overall, a very positive experience.

Good flavor on all the food I tried. Wish hushpuppies were served with tartersauce.Prices and quanity were good.
Be prepared to talk to people. The locals and the bartenders are always friendly here.

Pretty great first visit (finally!) to the Dinosaur Cafe. Bar up front, order window in the back. There’s plenty communal style seating along with standing spots to throw back some grub in the back and tables and bar tops up front.
While I was bummed they ran out of shrimp, the catfish poboy hit the spot. Great bread, perfect fry, tasty tomatoes and Louisiana hot sauce on the tables. It’s hard to find a poboy coming correct outside of the southeast but man, this one was perfect! The gumbolaya was a nice combo of gumbo & jambalaya which was also tasty but I’d try the gumbo straight-up next time.
All in all a great local, divey vibe with excellent food, TVs, and affordable food & drink. Definitely recommend!!

Some of the best Cajun I’ve had in a while. Super affordable but still quality. A beer, and bowl of fantastic gumbo for around $10 is probably what they’ll serve me if I ever clean up my act and make it to heaven. Throw in a lively crowed of regulars and two more beers and suddenly this place begins to feel like heaven and maybe I don’t have to clean up my act at all. 5 stars.

Nothing can beat this place for their chicken wings, Cajun food, and fish and chip specials on Saturdays. My wife loves the Gumbolaya, while I love the double dipped wings. But I have never had anything else that is bad either. Make sure to bring cash though.. they don’t accept credit cards.

Stick with the Jambalaya and Gumbo that they can serve immediately. Don’t bother with other items (like the Jamaican chicken sandwich in the pic) which can take them an hour to make and are mediocre at best.

Food was fairly mid; no where near authentic. The bar smelled like a men’s urinal, which made it difficult to eat my food. Staff seemed nice enough with the minimal interactions I had with them. Overall disappointed given it had such hype reviews from other patrons, both local and visitors.
