Food was amazing, service was excellent, had a great time. My spouse had a bloody Mary and we ordered the fried tomatoes and Cajun deviled eggs to start – delicious (the eggs were a bit salty – still good, but everything else was perfect). Pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheese, and BBQ beans and then the ribs and pulled pork with tomato and cucumber salad, corn bread, and mashed potatoes with gravy. Everything was perfectly cooked and I definitely ate too much!

We always try to go to Dinosaur while we’re in Syracuse. As usual, we had a great meal. We ordered the ribs for two, which is a full rack of ribs with four sides of your choice and two pieces of cornbread. We chose 2 mac & cheese, fries, and mashed potatoes with gravy. This ribs were excellent as they come or paired with their original BBQ sauce. My boyfriend loves their mac & cheese, but I did not care for the spice on top— it was just too spicy for me. The mashed potatoes and gravy were really good, in my opinion, but my boyfriend didn’t like the gravy. The fries were really good— a nice combination of a crispy outside, a soft inside, and mild seasoning. The cornbread was really good, too. Nice flavor, not dry, and best of all, no bits of corn (sorry if you’re into that kind of thing). There’s so much food, we couldn’t finish it all. At $39 we thought it was a great deal!

Both Street parking ($2 per hour) and lot parking ($6) are available. Establishment was very busy but managed well. We had about a 10 minute wait. The waitress was extremely personable and provided an overview of the menu. My mom and I shared a 3 meat platter that came with two sides and cornbread. It came out quickly. The portion was large and was just enough for the two of us. The best part hands down were the ribs. If I could eat those the rest of my life I’d be very happy. The coleslaw was a mix of creamy and vinegary. The wings were very moist. The pork was just alright – it tasted good with their bbq sauce. The Mac and cheese was very unique. If you pair their homemade blue cheese sauce with the Mac and cheese it is unreal. We purchased their homemade spices, bbq sauces and chips to bring back with us to Canada. Next time we’re in town we will definitely be back ! Delicious !

Took my kids and brother here for dinner. Great ribs, coleslaw was not my style (more vinegar vs. sweet) but the smothered greens and fried tomatoes TOP SCORES!! Portions are HUGE, kids didn’t even eat half of thier kids meal. We sat on the back patio. Great service by Evan. He was so nice and helpful. It’s worth the wait for a table!! Will go again.

Still one of my favorite BBQ joints of all time. The smoke on the ribs is simply amazing and full of flavor, while the pulled pork and brisket just melt in your mouth. We had a party of six and shared a couple of appetizers and three plates with their two sides, which made for more than enough food for everyone. Don’t forget to wrap up the meal with some key lime pie.

Went for lunch around 2pm on a Sunday. It was extremely busy but we were quickly seated. Our waitress was decent but not very attentive or overly kind because she was so busy.

A Syracuse Staple. If you EVER tell anyone from away that you’re from Syracuse, they’ll ask if you go to Dinosaur. If you’re from away, and tell people you’re visiting Syracuse, they’ll ask if you’re going to Dinosaur.

This is one of my favorite places not just in Syracuse but all of NY. Syracuse is the original and in my opinion the best but they do have other locations that are great as well. If there is any way you can make it put this in the top of your culinary priority list!

Worth the wait! We waited 45 minutes for a table but well worth it. We had bbq ribs, brisket, pulled pork. Mac and cheese was to die for! Service was quick and friendly! Good size portions

The best barbecue I’ve ever had in my life! Everything was delicious. The server was great. A fun place to eat. It was packed on a Tuesday night but we were seeing after 10 minutes and the service was very prompt. GF Friendly!
