We were hoping for a more authentic chinese menu. The server told us there was an authentic menu, but we were not offered it.
The service was quick and friendly . The portions were on the smaller size.
The hot and sour soup was great.
The sping rolls had no flavour (the sauce had nice hints of ginger)
The spicy ginger beef had no spice, and no ginger.
The lemon chicken was too heavily breaded and over sweet.
The sweet and sour pork was slightly better than a food fair dish.

When our go to restaurant shuttered years ago in Vancouver due to high rise expansions, we were devastated as we had been going there for 3 generations and they had the best hot and sour soup around, I called it the “dark ages” as that soup was perfect to have on cold winter nights, or if you weren’t feeling too well. When I tried hot and sour soup at dining wok it brought back so many family memories as it tasted just like the one we loved! Our family is beyond happy to find our beloved hot and sour soup again! I always grab 2 orders for our gatherings. Other go to dishes are the crispy chow mein, and shanghai noodles. Prices are good for the amount you get, you can tell the food was made with love and authenticity.

Very kind and appreciative owners. Absolutely delicious. Got the beef and broccoli it was real authentic Chinese food. Not overly salty and had great flavour. Portion sizes are fine considering the cost of food these days! I’ll for sure be back to try some more things. I haven’t had Chinese food in years locally because other places aren’t like this. I’ll be back probably tomorrow because it was that good!!! Easy to get there but the map is slightly off so I’ll suggest an adjustment. Free parking out front.

We got set menu for 2, it was all we could wish for, every dish different flavour, crispy tofu which I dipped in hot sour soup. Soup was thick full of veggies and hot and sour, not always the case. Chicken fried rice very good, broccoli beef tasty, sweet sour pork in delicious red goey sauce, couldn’t help myself not to lick it up. I thought the serving us the soup out of big bowl was sweet. Next time ginger beef….

One of the best place to dine if you like authentic chinese foods. They serve delicious and super tasty lunch combo meals. The price is just right but serving is smaller and you need a second course of order in my opinion. They have a large selection of dishes to choose from. Service was great and their washroom is well maintained. The dimly lit ambience is very good for a romantic setting. I love it here.

Small little shop that has some of the most authentic Chinese food especially the spicy choices. They are family owned/operated small restaurant, sometimes it takes a bit of wait but the friendly owner or server will always notify customers about that. Delicious food that are made fresh takes time and the wait is definitely worthy.

This is by far my favourite Shanghai restaurant in Vancouver! The food was authentic and delicious. I highly recommend their bifengtang chicken wings, eggplants with tofu and veggies pot, lamb meats on iron skillet, and seitan veggie pot. Especially the chicken wing was a die for dish as the chicken was cooked crispy and coated with bread crumbles on the outside which gives it an extra kick when you bite on it. The owner was also nice and consistent with their food quality. 10/10 restaurant in my opinion 🙂

Made a large order for Thanksgiving. We’re meticulous in getting in right, food was on time, fresh, and very flavorful. It made the night with family memorable. Will be ordering again and definitely recommend.

Great food but tiny portions.
Our dinner for two consist of 11 pieces of pork in the SS pork, a barely over half full fried rice and roughly 9 pcs of broccoli

The food was overcooked and tasteless. The server was very personable. The seating is falling apart, and held together with duct tape. A very sad restaurant.
