Ahh DFAC #6, quite the experience I had during my time at AIT. Anyways from WORMS in the fish to tasteless, mediocre food it really left me shocked as this is one of the most awful DFAC on Ft. Eisenhower. There were some days where it wasn’t terrible but even then it was unpleasant.
I highly recommend going to DFAC 13th if you get a chance.

Worst ever and it’s only my 2nd day here nuggets are like dry and nasty when I ask for some they give 2 or 4 like really. Pot pie tasted funny no flavor on green beans. Stingy with food. Rude people asking for tickets when I was never given any since I have been going

Ice machine hasn’t worked for two months. Portions are terrible. Food is not good. The picture shows chicken with “sauce”.
It’s just salsa.

Ordering at this DFAC is always a coin toss. I have gone in there and been pleasantly surprised, but unfortunately I’m only here because I was not only laughed at for my meal order but told it was a 7 minute wait for a burger despite there being a line of 20 soldiers. How.

Very clean and wonderful staff. Thank you all for your service and for providing an exceptional dinning facility experience. Best I’ve had in 17 years of service.

The amount of incompetence is unbelievable. 7 months ive been here. First off someone needs to take the salt shakers away from them.. You don’t need to salt vegetables/rice, nor do you need them oiled excessively. Use a massive colander, wash and steam all vegetables. It’s cheaper, easier, faster and healthier. Since all this food is sustainence anyway.
– massive amount of oils. Cooking high heat with oil makes it go rancid. Especially cheap oil.
– unwashed vegetables in the cold self serve line( romaine lettuce especially I’ve seen multiple times have dirt or bugs in the stem lining)
– expired milk in coolers from not FIFOing
But it doesn’t matter, there is zero accountability in dfacs nowadays because the army profits off them. The only reason people go here is because soldiers are forced to pay for it. I swear I’m either going to die from the housing or the food.

Absolutely terrible. You go in to grab food after doing a cq shift or even just go for breakfast and their constantly out of everything. Eggs are rock solid or burnt. Bacon is black, never any fruits and coffee machine needs to be cleaned. Employees are rude and hours are terrible. When you ask for a little extra because the portions are so small, they get upset and give you less. If I had a choice in thr matter, everyone would be fired and restart the dfac so it was like dfac 8.

If you like triple servings of canned vegetables with half servings of everything else, then look no further. For your beverage you get your choice of fruit juice-flavored liquids to drink, or alternatively they have both milk and chocolate milk that is frequently not soured. And if you’re tired of being treated with respect by the employees of the eateries you visit, this is the place for you. Whether you’re a brand new private or a senior officer, you’re sure to be treated as rudely as you could ever hope for.
I’m giving Dining Facility 6 two stars because it has one saving grace – parking is great because the lot is almost always full of open spots, and for good reason.
