Was near South Seattle and try this Ding Feng Dim Sum. Its probably our worst decision. This place is a junk, dirty table, floor,
mediocre dim sum, Poor rude service. We arrived, no services whatsoever for 15+ mins, 35 mins into the time we order before we got our first order of Char Siew Bau , lukewarm. Charging premium dim sum price for the food quality, ambience and service is outrageous. A plate of plain mushroom e-fu noodle is $20. that’s $5.50 more then Chinatown Seattle main restaurant. The mochi durian was a wash, tasteless, I actually felt ‘squashy in my stomach’ after eating it … be wary of this place, if the eating space is so dirty, imagine what’s its like in the kitchen ! It should closed down for public health reason

Stepping into Ding Feng for lunch was a fantastic decision. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, creating a really pleasant and comfortable dining experience. The service was amazing from start to finish—attentive, friendly, and efficient.

And the food? Absolutely incredible. I ordered a few dishes, and each one was a winner. The shrimp fried rice was perfectly cooked, with plump, juicy shrimp and a great balance of flavors. The hot pot dish with various seafood and meats in a rich, savory sauce was a standout—the seafood was fresh and tender, and the sauce was delicious. The third dish, Mongolian Chicken, a stir-fry with chicken, onions, and scallions, had a wonderful, glossy sauce and the chicken was perfectly cooked.

Overall, Ding Feng offers great food, amazing service, and a beautiful dining room. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Came here on a Sunday for dim sum at lunch! Promptly seated and dim sum served. Only ordered dim sum. All of which were delicious! Would love to come back. They had durian mocha before which I haven’t seen before and thought was fun.

I used to frequent this location when I lived in Seattle 4 years ago for pretty good dim sum. Now I’m back visiting my friends let me know it’s a new place called Ding Feng and there’s a duck guy. Went in last weekend and wow I am so impressed! Everything was incredibly delicious, dumplings were plump and juicy, the shrimp and chive even had whole shrimps! Service was incredibly friendly, upbeat vibe throughout. I had the best time!

Drove about 40 minutes today to try this place for breakfast. I came mainly because online reviews mentioned a convenient cart-style ordering experience. Unfortunately, the actual experience was very disappointing.

During the entire meal, only one cart came through our area, and there were fewer than 7 items to choose from. No one refilled our tea the whole time, and overall there was essentially no service.

The dining environment was average, and the food quality and pricing were also very ordinary and not worth the trip.

I won’t be coming back.

Trying this restaurant because they have a promotion on Lobster noodle at $20. Their menu has some unique Chinese dishes, and some dishes are similar to Vancouver, BC restaurants. Price is more expensive than others…

Very disappointed with the menu. The lamb rack was too tough to chew. The shrimp cake was too salty. The tofu was cold.

First time here. Heard it was under the prior name of Joy Palace. Though they were packed (11am on a Sat), we were quickly seated. Cart came fewer than 3 minutes, very frequent, and always stacked.

We ordered the usual; siu mai (big and juicy), har gau (plump and succulent), Phoenix claws (perfectly braised), spareribs, tofu skin roll, har gok, honey char siu pastry (flaky and flavorful), egg tart (huge!). Oh, LOVE their house chili. Thoroughly satisfied with the meal.

The only bad thing is that the strip mall had seen better days. Hope the MLK revitalization project will make things better there.

Ding Feng is not too bad. It looks pretty ghetto from the outside, as does the little strip mall it’s a part of. Looking past that however, inside isn’t bad. It’s just a big open room with a lot of tables and happy people eating. Dim Sum is not too shabby. Prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly. My wife tells me the bathroom was clean, which is always a good sign.

DING FENG’s current restaurant used to be Joy Palace. Since the new owner took over, I’ve seen some new items on the menu, and they are so good. One of those that I find so delicious is the BBQ duck. It’s $22 for half and $40 for a whole. It costs more than anywhere else, but it is awesomely good. No coloring, no fake taste like in other places.

I’m usually there for the dim sum, and I order something off the menu, such as sticky rice with Chinese sausage and dried shrimp or chicken and salted fish fried rice.

I hope the BBQ is there to stay because I love the taste so much. Always tend to get a whole duck to go every now and then.

Ordered food ahead of time. Drive was 30 minutes, waited 10 min to leave home AND stopped to pump gas. Maybe got there 60 minutes after we ordered. Food STILL was not done by the time we got there. Now this should be fine given they were actually somewhat busy. Except that we waited another 20 minutes to get our food. AND THEN after returning home to eat our food was RAW. Chicken was RAW. There’s no reason beef and shrimp are fully cooked and not the chicken. Threw it away. On top of that. Reeked of smoke, which was obvious given workers were smoking right outside. Again to each their own but no one should be served raw food. Disappointing. Won’t return.
