Slightly mixed feelings about this experience. Most of the staff was nice and cheerful and the place was spotkessly clean and quiet. Very easy to enjoy conversation. The food was good and fresh, but both orders were mishandled. We could have complained, but we’re hungry and it was likely just an error or overlook. We ordered the identical subs and sides, but with 2 different cheese choices and both were supposed to be hot. They both had the same cheese and were served cold. Then, the ice cream that my wife ordered was very odd for “moose tracks”. No chocolate, odd bland flavor and some red/pink colors in it. Prices were mostly fair, place was clean, but not likely one we will not repeat unless it is very convenient for some other reason. Overall, I’d give it 3¾ stars. Not bashing, just honest report of our only experience there.

what I liked: atmosphere was great. I visited in the winter and it was cozy, it’s a diner-style restaurant and it was decorated for the Christmas occasion. The entire restaurant was very clean (including the bathroom). The ladies working the kitchen and cashier were kind and polite.
final thoughts: i ordered a plain bagel with eggs and bacon. Definitely give this restaurant it’s time to shine with a more ‘inspired’ order; you will get more bang for your buck if you get something interesting. The portions on both the eggs and bacon were a tad bit small, especially with the bacon being paper-thin. Otherwise, great establishment, I would visit again. 5/5

I was really disappointed in this breakfast experience. 1st there were no menus, the cashier just told us what was available for breakfast. I ordered a simple bacon and egg sandwich on white toast. Nothing but the bread was real on this sandwich- the eggs were processed, circular, microwave heated eggs, and the bacon was – well, I’m not sure. I wouldn’t recommend this place for breakfast. Maybe you should try for another meal- but I won’t.

Probably one of the cleanest Restaurants in Wilkes County. Best hot dogs in town. The homemade pimento cheese is amazing. Their tuna is also homemade, and super yummy. I prefer it as a meltdown. Tuna on wheat with a tomato and melted Swiss over the top. I get mine open, but you can also order it closed. The BBQ is really good, especially on the baked potato or nachos! Their soups in the winter, hit the spot every time. They serve cinnamon and brown sugar with their sweet potatoes, which are so good and flavorful. You also have to try their Pina Colada Smoothie!
