Tried a variety of dishes and everything was solid. The Chicken Xiao Long Bao were my favorite, juicy and full of flavor. We also had the chicken spicy wontons, chicken fried rice, and shrimp & kurobuta pork pot stickers, all very good. The chocolate and mochi xiao long bao were a fun and delicious dessert, and the Taiwanese oolong hot tea paired perfectly with the meal. Would definitely come back.

Really enjoyed starting with the cucumber salad (simple and fresh), and string beans are a must! We ordered the Xiao Long Bao, spicy wontons…and the chili sauces that the spicy wontons came in were great. Loved the variety of tea options and you can adjust sweetness level.

We had great service too. All staff were friendly and profeessional. Place was clean, and I always like seeing an open kitchen! Will come back!

Boyfriend and I came in with a reservation for 10:45AM. There was a long line already so we had to wait a little to get checked in. I think the walk-in wait in that moment was an hour to an hour and a half but because we had a reservation, we were able to get seated pretty quickly. Service was good off the bat because everyone was very attentive. We ordered Shrimp & Kurobuta Pork Spicy Wontons, Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao, Noodles with Spicy Sauce, and Chocolate & Mochi Xiao Long Bao. Our server let us know that our order was running a little late because the kitchen was very busy in that moment. It did take awhile for our food to come out but it did eventually. This was my first time trying Din Tai Fung so I had some expectations because of the hype but the food honestly didn’t taste super exceptional. I don’t know if it was the specific foods I ordered but today everything just tasted pretty mid honestly. Everything was just…okay. It was all a bit on the flavorless side… The chocolate mochi for dessert on the other hand was good, but it did get a little too much in terms of sweetness as I had my 3rd one. I think 1 is just enough for me. Again, service was good throughout because our server checked in on us often, we never ran out of water, and our plates were cleared away very quickly. Overall, not sure if I really liked my meal here today but I think I would still give Din Tai Fung another chance by coming back to order something else next time.

Located inside the mall, this Din Tai Fung is very spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. We visited on a weekday for lunch and the wait time was around twenty minutes, which felt reasonable for how busy it was. The dumplings were fresh and full of flavor, and the service was organized even with the crowd. I especially liked the xiao long bao, and the chocolate version for dessert was a fun surprise and definitely worth ordering.

Din Tai Fung was a delight to try for our first time. Reservations recommended because wait times can be hours long!

The dumplings were so delicious! And the chocolate dessert dumplings were incredible too! The following are what we’d recommend: garlic green beans, tenderloin beef, pork ribs, pork chop fried rice, dumplings, & wontons. There was a window where you can watch a team of professionals make the dumplings, which was really fun to see too! It’s quite an art!

Our server was excellent! The food continually came out as it was ready. Our experience was very positive! We would love to return!

We went in a big group and absolutely loved it. We tried so many dishes, I can’t even name them all here. When we first sat down, they got us some short ribs and cucumbers to apologize for the long wait. We had reservations and we still waited over 30 minutes to get our table. Well worth it. Once we were seated, everything was delicious and we were treated very well. The mango shave, ice dessert was unexpected and delicious. Can’t wait to go back.

Fantastic experience at Din Tai Fung! The variety of dishes is impressive, and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. My favorite was definitely the xiaolongbao — perfectly delicate and full of flavor. Can’t wait to come back!

The vegan wontons were pretty good but otherwise, if you want spectacularly mediocre food for unreasonable prices, this is your spot.
To be fair, for someone who has never tried Asian food, this is an okay spot to start – but there are probably 100 other restaurants in SoCal that I would go to to get xiao long bao or anything else on the menu over this spot.

I understand the hype now. Was my first time there after my wife kept raving about this place. Food was delicious, our server was so professional, items came out timely and overall a great experience. Make sure you get on the waitlist list 1 to 2 hours earlier than you’d like to eat!

The staff here is absolutely excellent. They work well together, they’re kind, and extremely attentive. The atmosphere is beautiful and even though this location is busy I’ve never had to wait for too long to be seated and they also have open seating at the bar. The food is pretty good but for the price I will say I’ve had better. But as far as consistency and quality is concerned it is definitely worth a visit.
