DiMaggios is back to how it used to even better! New owners just took over a few months back and let me tell you that the pizza is back to being amazing. I was one of those who stopped coming when the original owners sold as it did go downhill but the new owners are definitely putting in the work to bring this place back and you can tell. The pizzas is thin, flavorful and crunchy oh and no flop. Staff was very friendly. Give it a try you wont be disappointed!

This place has got to have one of the best buffalo slices around! Crispy crust, perfect heat, the sauce is not too spicy not too sweet, not oily, cheese just right! The sesame seeds were an awesome surprise on the crust! I’m a big buffalo fan (go bills!) and usually get the runs after my buffalo slices but this particular slice of buffalo was very friendly to my stomach! Staff was very friendly and nice. Food came out quick. Comfortable clean establishment. A true gem in the rough!

Ordered a pie with extra cheese and veggies ( mushrooms, onion’s and olive’s ).
Absolutely delicious ! Crust was crunchy yet delicate, ( perfect texture ). I’m impressed.

Friendly staff, compensated me fairly when they got the order slightly off. Garlic knots are a bit too doughy to my liking but the sesame pizza crust is different and quite enjoyable. The dough itself is the perfect combination of moist and crunchy; even the crust was finished.

If you are in the Hicksville area this is a must stop for a great old school slice with a flair. Located in a unassuming shopping strip mall, this Pizzeria has it all. Once you walk through the doors you will see why this is a LI local Favorite. You will Start humming your favorite Billy Joel song because after all this was his favorite spot as a kid.
On to the pizza…number one it’s always fresh you will never find pies laying around like other spots because the traffic is heavy and the turnover is fast. I had a Buffalo slice and as I said it had a twist…Sesame Seeds on the crust what a great surprise. It reminded me of so many great spots from my childhood in Brooklyn.
I finished up with a “Sal’s Sensational Italian Ice” incredible, I have not had an ice so good since Court Pastry Shop on Court Street in Brooklyn that has been doing it for 75 years…Sal and team have outdone themselves with Ices.
This should be a destination spot for ices. Ralphs is like eating a cheeseburger compared to a steak you will get with Sal.
Don’t hesitate call, drive, ride your bike or run…but whatever you do don’t miss out on a Sal’s Sensational Ice this summer.

I just moved into neighborhood of hickville.. right by a close friend.. we ordered THE BEST PIZZA!!! She recommended and it didn’t disappoint! Everything was fresh delicious and hot! Speedy delivery! I would highly recommend!!!
