It’s really a to go place but surprisingly they offer a kitchen that will take orders and even customize your order. The staff is very nice and friendly. A few IYKYK things 1) It’s one of the rare places that still make mochi desert. They have a pineapple version and a peanut version. Both are really good. 2) Their bolo “pineapple” buns are also pretty good and they have it in a dedicated space with heat lamp. 3) they make soy milk from scratch. And it’s delicious.

This neighborhood dim sum takeout is a gem. They have my favorite salty fried bread at a very good price! Dim sum dishes are so good quality at a very good price.
Parking can be challenging during busy weekends and weekdays. One can only find street parking.
Go early. I believe they open at 8am in the morning.

Restaurant-quality dim sum served at this quintessential Cantonese bakery on San Bruno.
Har gao (shrimp dumpling) and shiu mai (pork dumpling), gets the taste right — served warm and ready to go, but skins still chewy. Various fried dumplings (shrimp and chive, tarot), excellent as well. Only recommendation is for char siu bao (bbq pork buns) to come with more meat filling.
Shrimp Dumpling Soup, served in brown broth and with bok choy, decent but not life changing.
An excellent, and affordable, dim sum option on the south side of San Francisco. Lunch combo, generously portioned and economically-priced.

I’ve visited Dim Sum Kitchen multiple times and the majority of my experiences have been decent. My recent visit unfortunately was bad enough that I have to leave this review. I am pretty confident the majority the food I ordered (steam pork buns, siomai, and pot stickers) were not fresh, very possibly a day old. The only dish I know was fresh was the chow mein but it unfortunately lacked flavor. My advice, check the food temp before you leave as I would of brought it back but I was already close to home in SSF

THE neighbor gem for authentic basic dim sum and perfect lunch quick stop. The flavors were on point, home-y and simply filling. Our server recommended cod fillet tofu clay pot – a hearty fave. Piping hot tofu silk on the inside and crispy on the outside. Fish was pillowy and flavorful. Only shrimp dumplings and pork siu mai left at 4pm for dim sum, but both hit the spot. A new addition to Tanforan Mall in San Bruno. Very fresh and tasty dim sum. The fried rice can be improved. It’s a bit dry and bland. The sesame balls are crispy and not too sweet. This new place deserves all our support during this Covid time. Just put in your order and relax to give the kitchen the time to get your food right.

This spot is one of the go to spots on San Bruno ave. The prices are good and they give you some hefty plates. Beyond the price the food is just good. I usually go for the dim sum but on occasion will do a combo plate. If you’re in n the area looking for a cheap good meal pull up!

So far everything I’ve tasted at this restaurant has been delicious!! The pork buns will keep you coming back. I’ve also tried the dim sum especially delicious.
Only bad part is that it’s at Tanforan Mall so if you are not going there to shop it’s inconvenient, but well worth it.

This used to be Hoy Sun dim sum/restaurant. I miss Hoy Sun. If you compare the food from back then to now, the ingredients and flavors now seem skimped. Tonight, I decided to get some food from the hot trays in front of the restaurant. Chow mein $7 an order (they also sell a smaller box for $5), pork chop $7 an order and a sticky rice with chicken wrapped in lotus leaf $3.85. If you go a few blocks down, the prices are lower. The food here is OK. Not great.

Seems to be a local staple – there was a line throughout the time we were there. No frills, order at counter dim sum. Food was mixed. Shrimp dumplings and shu mai were decent. Some steamed buns were very dry / not fresh. Fried dim sum were oily. Relatively cheap however and they let you buy just one of each item instead of a set.
