Yummy!! This is a small restaurant in Lakewood Ranch Bradenton, Florida , with dishes/food that is so tantalizing to the taste buds. I wasn’t expecting this wonderful food experience at all. The service was also very exceptional.

I almost don’t want to leave such a great glowing review. Because I love this restaurant so much, and such a hidden secret gem. But because it’s always super busy. But I am telling you the worth, the food is worth the wait. The food is amazing here for authentic well priced dim sum. Beautiful and management is sp nice.

If you’re looking for authentic dim sum in a warm and inviting setting, Dim Sum Kitchen is a must visit! This tiny, quaint restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. The customer service was outstanding prompt, friendly, and genuinely attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Despite the small size, the space feels cozy and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing meal or catching up with friends.
The food arrived fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious, with clear care put into every dish. The staff managed a busy dining room effortlessly, ensuring everyone felt looked after and that service never lagged. It’s rare to find such a combination of great food and exemplary service in such an intimate little spot. Highly recommended, and I can’t wait to return!

A great experience through and through. Went on a Saturday and didn’t have to wait for a table. Place was very busy between eat in and take out. Staff was very friendly, service was prompt and the food was delicious. Some of the better food we’ve had in Lakewood Ranch. So many good items to choose from so we plan to go back to try more!

This time around:
– fried sesame balls
– steamed pork & shrimp dumplings
– fried shrimp balls (favorite)
– house chow fun (ordered spicy w. chili oil)
– house fried rice

Food was great but the wait was long and service was mediocre. They could’ve cleaned tables off more timely and seated quicker for efficient service.

Great spot for dim sum. The food was very fresh and had tasty ingredients. They have a pretty diverse menu anything from noodles to actual dim sum. Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely eat here again. Be prepared to wait a while for a table. They only have 8 tables and usually one server.

Going to Carry Out ONLY….No more Dine In starting Nov 28, 2025.

They claim on this site “staff shortage” while they’ve SIGNIFICANTLY EXPANDED THE HOURS THEY ARE OPEN. Used to close md-day at 2:30 and reopen at 5:30. Now OPEN ALL DAY from 11:00 to 8:30 Wednesday thru Sunday. Limited hours Monday still and still closed on Tuesdays as before.

For Carry Out only.

If a business has a staff shortage (as they claim here), you clearly don’t INCREASE the business hours open, the hours are DEcreased to accommodate less staff. Business management 101.

So apparently no kitchen “staff shortage” with expanded open hours.

Inside seating was only 4 small tables & 5 booths. Limited inside seating easily handled by 1 server…Jodi was super and wasn’t quitting.

So just lost us as customers of several years.

Take home and reheated food never tastes as good as right out of the kitchen to table.

I bought about $30 worth of dim sum for myself. Congee with preserved egg was really good. I didn’t get that far.

4 stars instead of 5 because I’m picky about white rice. It was too dry.

Service was very good.

Unfortunately, it was dark so no photos.

As the name would suggest, the Dim Sum is the star of the show. Every meal we’ve had here has been excellent. Looking forward to trying out the many opinions. Seating is sometimes tight around the usual peaks and at times they even have a pad on the bar so make sure you write down your name to check in if it’s crowded. That said, the staff is efficient and super friendly and the food is worth the wait.
