i just went here spontaneously and i’m so pleasantly surprised. i ordered bbq pork bun, shiumai and hargow (shrimp dumpling), $16. the shiumai and hargow is STUFFED with an unbelievable amount of filling. these were so delicious and satisfying that i will overlook the interior or decor to give this place 5 stars. i’ll make sure to tell people about this place!

The perfect breakfast spot. Customize your order with dim sum classics! Need something filling but eat on the go? Get buns! Sticky rice and rice rolls I recommend.

No nonsense dim sum place. There is no fancy interior or welcoming stuff, but they do have very fresh and yummy dim sum. Their shrimp ball is truly good, and it only costs a couple of bucks. There are only a few tiny tables, so if you choose to dine there, there’s an option. Their sponge cake and custard bun are really good too.

We got a catering order last weekend for a baby shower. Communication with Alan via email was super easy and he made good suggestions for our event. Everything was ready to be picked up at the agreed time. All of the guests at the baby shower raved about the food, and everyone was excited to take home leftovers too! We ordered shumai, shrimp dumplings, spring rolls, roast pork buns, steamed pork buns, egg custards, potstickers, and sesame balls. Everything was delicious!! Highly recommend for any dim sum/brunch and catering needs!

I truly enjoy the variety available at a good Dim Sum restaurant. Dim Sum King provides a delightful experience.
When you walk in you pick up an “order form” that lists all the offerings AND the per piece price. You hand the form to the lady behind the counter. She fills the order immediately. Although not on the order form, remember to ask for Soy Sauce based Dipping Sauce and hot peppers and oil, they are $0.25 each. You pay for your food, nicely packed “to go” and leave or take a seat and “dine in”.
All of the food in the picture was $16.05.
All of my choices were fresh & tasty. I especially liked the chicken feet.
This is Dim Sum with all the effort put into the food, with NO fancy service or price.
I enjoyed it so much that it was my 2nd visit in 3 days.

Tried Dim Sum King in Seattle and was pleasantly surprised. The custard bun and sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaf were the standouts—so flavorful and comforting. Prices are very affordable, though keep in mind you do have to pay extra for bags and boxes.

The ordering process is a little hectic—you walk in, grab a paper slip, and fill out what you want. The rice rolls were just average, but everything else we tried was good. Biggest downside: they don’t provide an itemized receipt, which makes it a little hard to track what you’re paying for.

Overall, great spot for a quick, cheap dim sum fix. I’d definitely go back.

Good food, quick turnaround, humble restaurant setting.

The Suimai is some of the best I’ve had and the Custard Bun is very good.

All at a low cost. Amazing value!

this is probably the best and most affordable dim sum I’ve had. My favorite used to be Honking Bistro, but this place has definitely taken the top spot in the International District! It gets busy on weekends but everything is to-go and great variety too! I recommend shumai and the sticky rice with the yellow wrap outside

Very very very rude person working at the counter. Expensive. No shrimp in Shu Mai, only pork and fat. No soy sauce with any dim sum you buy unless you pay .25 each for a tiny plastic container. No parking available except pay street parking. No bathroom unless you buy something first. Don’t be intimidated by staff behind the counter to make your purchase. Best go somewhere near the area. Too many good dim sum in the area.

This style of dim sum is nice so you can choose how much you want and allows you to try other items without having to finish a whole portion of just one dim sum item.
