Firstly, we were given the warmest greeting from Kevin, our server. He remembered my partner from monthsss ago and even recalled him by name, even though my partner had only eaten here once! Next the food, everything came out HOT and soooo tasty! We got the house special chow fun, crispy eggplant with spicy garlic, wonton in spicy vinaigrette, and fish congee. Omygoodness I probably am going to sound like I’m exaggerating but the house special chow fun is probably the best chow fun I’ve tasted from Chinese restaurants in both LA and Seattle combined. The noodles were extra wide and the flavor was savory. I love that it came with char siu, chicken, shrimp, and fish balls! Second favorite was the crispy eggplant with spicy garlic! Rarely do I see crispy eggplant dishes at Chinese restaurants, this was truly a delight to munch on. We were frequently checked on by the other servers, a sweet lady and another young man but I unfortunately didn’t get their names, they were so nice! It is from my dining experience here that I’m going to make sure not to reject a place just from reviews alone.
One of the standout options were the combo dim sum plates for things like the footballs and taro balls. Love both those things and was new to see an option to get both on one plate. They also had it for shui mai.
I apologize for doubting this place. All items are double orders (so 8 pieces instead of 4), but what really was the delightful surprise was the size of the pieces. You know ur in a good place when it takes 2 bites to eat one piece. Food was delicious and tasty. My only criticism is the Red Vinegar on the table, tasted a bit watered down.
Efficient and attentive staff. No cheap styrofoam to go boxes AND they don’t charge you for the containers. I appreciate that.
If you do an online order, make sure to order on Chowbus. That’s what they use for dine-in ordering (QR code menu), so the menu & prices are most accurate. Some of the other sites are missing menu items or have upcharges.
From the moment we sat down, the experience felt off. While we were looking at the menu, the server kept coming back every few minutes asking if we were ready to order. We explained that we were still deciding because the menu had a lot of options. When we finally placed our order, he questioned us and asked if we were “sure,” saying it was a lot of food for two people — which made us feel uncomfortable and judged.
When the food arrived, everything was cold. Every plate. We told the server each time and asked if it could at least be reheated. His response was shocking: he said the food is cooked in the morning, so by the time we arrived at 7pm, it was cold because it was prepped earlier. That explanation was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable — no customer should be served cold food and then blamed for it.
Before we even received all of our food or took a single bite, he came back asking if we were paying cash or card. Then, only about 15 minutes later, he brought the check and asked us to pay — while there were still people in the restaurant and 40 minutes before closing time.
The entire experience felt rushed, uncomfortable, and unprofessional.
I was genuinely excited to try their food, but between the cold dishes and the terrible service, this is a hard no for me.
0/10 experience. Never coming back
