This was my favorite dim sum that I have ever had. The breads and pastries as well as the fillings were high quality. I tried ten different items off the menu and enjoyed each one. The only downside is no seating, so you do have to stand and wait for the order. It’s worth it though.

It was GREAT! The buns were especially fluffy, pretty and the matcha lava bun was exceptionally runny and flavorful. The sticky rice lotus leaf wrap was also a delightful experience. Not to mention, the Hong Kong style milk tea was amazing. I would definitely go back!

So glad that Dim Sum Basket opens. Usually we go to the city on weekend just to get Dim Sum. Now we can have dim sum anytime we want except on Mondays since they’re closed. Please come early if you want to try variety of the menu. One of my favorites is the egg tart They also have pineapple custard bun but only on weekend (Sat & Sun).

I was so excited to see this place finally open! I dropped by this spot on their 1st day of opening. Sadly, I was a bit too late because everything was pretty much gone. So, I ended up coming back in the morning today.
The owner and employees are all so nice. They are efficient and thorough.
I ordered :
Milk tea
Matcha lava bun
Charcoal lava bun
Taro lava bun
Milk custard bun
Shrimp dumpling
Shu mai
Fried shrimp dumpling
Pineapple bun (forgot to take pic because I ate it all up )
Fried egg roll
Fried sesame ball
Pro:
Everything was tasty!
Flavors were on point
Dough to content ratio was just right
Perfect portions
Great customer service
Con:
I am going to end up looking like their dumplings with all the dumplings I’ve eaten in the last couple days.

Usually when you know a place is the only place of its kind in the area, you expect it to not be as good. But Dim Sum Basket is amazing, even if they’re the only dim sum place in the area. Their staff are friendly and efficient, the food is almost always excellent, and it’s always fresh made. I highly suggest their pan-fried turnip cake (lobakgo), sticky rice (lomaigai), egg tart (dantat), sesame balls (Jindoi), BBQ pork bun (chasiubao), and pork and shrimp dumpling (siumai)!
Pretty good prices and very high quality. (sorry the photos aren’t good, took em from my video)

It’s hard to find good dim sum in the east bay and I’m glad that this family run establishment exist to fix that issue!
How can anyone not enjoy a warm and gooey custard or Matcha lava bun? They also have some enjoyable savory options as well.

One may not think a takeout dimsum restaurant in a plaza next to Safeway in Brentwood is worth raving about, but boy are they wrong! This place deserves ALL the praise. The prices are affordable, dimsum items are huge, and the quality is no different if not better than some of the dimsum restaurants I’ve been to. I don’t think there’s anything on their menu I have not thoroughly enjoyed. Some honorable mentions include their lava buns, siumai, lotus wrapped sticky rice, shrimp dumplings, pineapple buns, pork buns, and don’t sleep in their fragrant chili oil. I always forget to take pictures before I finish the food but look at the size of their chicken XXL bun. This thing is the size of my whole hand! Phone for scale. We don’t live close to Brentwood but we find reasons to go out there to visit Dimsum Basket

My fiance and I came here for the first time on Saturday and we will definitely be back. First thing the staff was friendly and welcoming as we entered the store with a hello and smile. We ordered many things to try: fried wonton, pot stickers, pineapple bun, taro bun, fried egg rolls, fried shrimp balls, milk bun, shu mai, chrysanthemum drink, a jar of chili oil, and a house milk tea.
Easy process to fill out the sheet and give to staff for what you want to order. The only downside is I wish they had pictures of all the food so you can see what to order. I will definitely be back to get more pot stickers, fried wontons, shu mai, hot dog bun, and chrysanthemum tea.
Fried wonton: 10/10
Shu mai: 10/10
Hot dog bun: 15/10
Potsticker: 10/10
Fried egg rolls: 6/10
Milk bun: 6/10
Pineapple bun: 10/10
Taro bun: 8/10
Chrysanthemum tea: 10/10
Milk tea: 7/10
Chili oil: 8/10

This place is surprisingly good and located in Brentwood area. It’s hard to find a good, affordable and authentic Asian place in Brentwood, or sometimes it’s really expensive to find dimsum place around this area. The price is affordable. They have basic dimsum things with both savory and sweet. The Hong Kong milk tea is so good and it’s the best when it’s hot. Service is quick. This place is a togo place, no dine in.

The lotus-wrapped rice was easily the best I’ve had in a long time, perfect textures and amazing flavors.
