The service was solid and welcoming, which matters to me just as much as the food. It felt like a place you can come with family, take your time, and actually enjoy the experience. Overall, Dim Dim Sum delivers quality, consistency, and good value. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend if you’re in the Windermere area and want legit dim sum without the hype, just good food done right.
The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It was the perfect setting to enjoy a leisurely dim sum experience.
While the menu might not be the most extensive, the quality of the food definitely shines. The dishes we tried were all above average, bursting with fresh flavors and perfectly prepared. It might not be the absolute best dim sum I’ve ever had, but considering the limited options around, it was a fantastic find.
But what truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service. Our waiter was incredibly attentive and friendly, providing some of the best service we’ve encountered at any restaurant.
If you’re looking for delicious dim sum in Windermere, Dim Dim Sum is a must-try. The beautifully decorated space, high-quality food, and top-notch service make it a hidden gem.
As a Asian,and a Foodie…i usually don’t want to say anything like this to a restaurant.cuz i knew it’s not easy to run a food business…
But it is that bad…many of the dish we order taste very weird…they barely using fresh food, most dim sum dish is probably from frozen pack, they don’t seems have dim sum master or dim sum chef work in the restaurant…
anything that has meat in it taste spoilage…the waitress here are nice, service are good, the food is not…
This place has both! Dim Dim Sum has delicious food with a multitude of options for everyone! When going in I had a bit of everything trying a main entree and also getting some small plates to enjoy. The menu is somewhat confusing because the numbers in correlation to the list are out of order, but it’s not too hard to navigate overall.
I ordered the Beef Chow Fun, Pan Fried Meat Buns, and Pan Fried Dumplings. All dishes were absolutely delicious and in comparison to the Hawkers Restaurant located in the same area, I’d choose Dim Dim Sum in terms of food quality and how much I’m getting for my money. The service was nice and the atmosphere was pretty and nicely decorated.
The soup dumplings were very good. The soup inside was really generous usually I don’t get a lot of soup but these had plenty of soup in them. Only thing that was not so great, they were stuck together and when you tried to peel them apart or off eachother they ripped open and all the soup came out. The beef siu mai were good but I’ve had better. the steamed dumplings were also good. I do think they have shrimp in them which was unique. They had some pork bao buns that were very tasty but the best things we ordered were both on the sweeter side. We loved the sesame balls but my all time favorite was the black and gold Egg Lava custard bun. So delicious and not everyone does it right. But this one was perfect!
We were expecting it to be like Hong Kong Yum Cha flavor wise, so if you want to come here and you have a similar expectation, this might not be the place.
In general, I liked the roasted duck, Siu Mai, bean curd rolls, shrimp eggplant and Xiao Long Bao. Their rice rolls and dumplings do have thick “skins”, which I didn’t like. Shrimp wonton noodles were made with Japanese ramen and wonton filling was chewy because of the shrimp paste instead of whole shrimp, just felt weird to me with the modifications. I love Singaporean fried rice vermicelli so I was really excited. It was steaming hot when it came to our table, unfortunately it was filled with burnt flavor and they probably didn’t put any turmeric or curry powder in, which was unusual.
Their food was not bad, just that our expectations were not met.
