I love the Hi-Ho in Dilworth. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid (for over 20 years) & I’ve never had a bad experience. The food is great, the service is excellent. I also love the “dive bar” atmosphere. The place is clean and well kept. 10/10 recommend stopping by for a cheeseburger basket! The popcorn chicken is delicious too! I was recommended this place by a good friend, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I ordered a California Burger and a Deluxe Burger with bacon. While both the server and cook were friendly and polite, the food itself was unacceptable.
The burger patties and fries tasted like they came straight from the freezer, the bacon was burnt to a crisp, and both buns were overcooked. The lettuce on both burgers was brown, mushy, and clearly past its prime — I had to remove it entirely. The restaurant’s dim lighting might hide these issues, but it doesn’t excuse serving produce in that condition.
To make matters worse, I actually felt sick afterward, which says a lot about the quality. Spending nearly $30 for two poorly made burgers with burnt bacon and spoiled toppings was extremely disappointing. I genuinely wanted to like this place, but I won’t be returning anytime soon.
I genuinely rate this place a solid 3 out of 10. Which makes me sad because the cook himself was such a gentleman that seemed to enjoy his job.

Felt bad showing up 15 minutes till close but they made a to go order for me! I was really craving food from the hi ho and the lady working came in clutch! Great service and great food!

Hi-Ho is a favorite at our house for many reasons. The food is always good and is reasonably priced, they dont skimp on fries, and the atmosphere is like nowhere else. We are regulars and the people there treat us like family. We regularly order take out and stop by to eat in when we can.

Came in on a Tuesday night for a burger, the place was steady but still felt like a down home kind of place you love going to. It was a fabulous experience to say the least. Alyson is an amazingly nice and helpful waitress, keep up the great work!
Will definitely be back and if you are lucky enough to get Alyson as your server, she deserves a really huge tip!

Simple, unfussy burger joint with reasonable prices. The food is good and the service is prompt. There is also a small arcade area where kids often play while waiting for their food (or their parents to be ready to leave).

I grew up going to this place. It’s deep fried stuff and a flat top grill. Food is quite greasy and cheap, but can get sneaky expensive if you start adding on items or sides.
The place itself is iconic in the FM area. It is so dive that it borders charming. But if it’s empty, it is just a dingy and dirty hole in the wall.
Servers were friendly and attentive. Beer was cold and fresh. And I suppose you are expected to give a place like this a good review. But I dunno, I was kind of grossed out this time around, and left with a stomach ache.

Best burgers and fries anywhere. Everytime I’ve been there it’s been great service. Usually get the food quick so it’s almost in and out. Whenever anyone brings up food or being hungry I mention them. Especially since not only is it great service but it’s real near home.
If it’s later in the day and/or really busy can wait for food next door in the bar. So even better lol.
