What a wonderful experience! Being completely candid, we haven’t been here in about 8 years. After two wildly disappointing visits in a row all those years ago, we stopped coming. Tonight we were brought in thanks to a gift card from family but I am so happy we came. Our server, Samantha, was exceptional but so was the food. I was blown away by the quality of the meat and the flavor of their sauces. Their sides were phenomenal too. The homemade mashed potatoes and gravy were heavenly & the spinach & artichoke dip had an impressive quantity of artichokes. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, kind, & pleasant. It’s rare to find a place where everyone seems like they actually enjoy working there & it truly makes all the difference in a diner’s experience. All of the changes they’ve made have clearly made a difference. We will absolutely be back & look forward to Dillon’s becoming a regular spot for our family. Resoundingly recommend!

We came out to Dillon’s on thanksgiving day. The food was good and we loved the view. It was wife, mother-in-law and my self. We wanted to try something new and this was definitely a great experience. Great view and a great server. My mother-in-law is in a wheelchair and they did everything they could to make it a great experience. We left very happy.

My family hit up Dillon’s KC BBQ right inside Wildlife World Zoo after a morning of giraffe feeding, and wow—what a game-changer for zoo eats! The burnt ends platter was smoky perfection, tender brisket falling off the bone with that sweet KC sauce, paired with crispy onion rings and cheesy corn that had the kids begging for seconds. Eating by the massive shark tank felt like dining with Jaws himself, and the flamingo-view patio was a sunny bonus. Staff zipped over with refills, portions were huge, and prices beat any chain spot. Total energy boost—zoo day upgraded to epic!

Came here Tuesday (7.22.25) for lunch, and sat at the bar. A bit awkward as my feet were atop the foot rail and pressed up against the bar. The seats were such that the bar top was considerably away from you that you had to lean forward to eat. Stephanie was my server. She was busy having to work a large section, and had little if any help. My lunch began with the fried mushrooms. They were very good. I commented to Stephanie that they were like eating popcorn — hard to stop eating them. My entree was the burnt ends platter with barbecued baked beans and mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was good, but is there meant to be small kernels of corn with it? I didn’t bother to ask. As for the beans, they were good and uniquely made. Only plaint is they were a bit soupy. The disappointment came with the burnt ends. Burnt ends are meant to be golden treasures cherished by the chef or pit master. Low and slow, and cooked for a long period of time. What I got were pieces that ranged from moist and tender, to chewy, and hard and dry… in a sauce I would guess as being Sweet Baby Ray’s. I took what was left to go; saving room to try their peach and blueberry cobbler. What arrived shortly after my check was a dessert unlike any cobbler. It had peaches and blueberries. They were set in a gelatin cut in square form, and topped with a puff pastry dough that was soft. The ice cream was good. I would never call it a cobbler. I paid my check using my credit card. It charged a small fee. One thing that annoys me are tip suggestions. I don’t tip after tax, or any additional fees applied. I tip accordingly to the service, food, and pre-tax total. Wrapping up the restaurant is clean. No noticeable odors as some have claimed. There’s plenty of parking; only mind the road construction. And the bathrooms were well kept and tidy; with tiled floors and walls, and painted ceilings. This was a learn and live experience. I wouldn’t say the barbecue is comparable to Lil Miss or Caldwell County BBQ. It is what they make of their barbecue. See attached photos.

I love that you don’t have to go to the zoo to eat at this restaurant, but if you are at the zoo, it’s a super treat because it’s not overpriced like most restaurants that are connected to a venue like this. Since they have a separate entrance for zoo, patrons, the prices are reasonable. Great for people that live nearby. Who want enjoy great food with the aquarium theme.

The service was really great and sitting in the aquarium room was a super bonus. We had the chicken Caesar salad salad and the chicken club sandwich, which was excellent!! Surprisingly large portions and high-quality. Highly recommend it.

This was our first time here, and if I lived in the area, I would love to dine here regularly.

Dillon’s coming back strong and for us today the experience was wonderful. I’ve been taking my kids here for well over a decade and my now grown kids still talk about the aquarium views while they ate. We haven’t been in so many years so we decided to stop by today with my teens after a few hours at the zoo. Service was friendly and we were seated within minutes on the patio. The menu had so many good options that it took us a minute to decide. We settled on there’s combo with coleslaw, Mac and cheese and a side of baked beans. We also ordered chicken tenders, fries and a bowl of the southwestern stew. Everything came out pretty quick and looked amazing! The ribs were falling off the bone, the pulled pork was to die for and with the Cajun bbq sauce …yum! The brisket was equally as good, but if I chose a favorite of the three mine would be the pork. All of the sides were good although the beans were too sweet for me so I probably wouldn’t order them again. The hit for is by far was the stew. It had a perfect kick! I could see eating that as a main meal with salad etc. with the large pieces of meat and all the flavor it was so satisfying on this little chilly of a day . It reminded me of a cozy dinner on a cold day at home. SO GOOD! The kids chicken tender meals came with 7/8 pieces and they had to take some home. They’re picky with their tenders so hearing them say they were good was great. Our server was wonderful, answered all of our questions and was patient with us while we tried to decide what to order. The view was awesome with the flamingos nearby. We’re already talking about going back.

We have been to all the Dillons, but this one is by far our favorite. Linda at the bar is the absolute best!!! The food is great, but again, Linda makes the experience the best. Also, the flamingos are very cool.

Great staff and great food! We are here after going through out the zoo. The dining area is attached to the tank with sharks and fish which is super cool for the kids! The prices are pretty alright for the taste and quality. I had the turkey club sandwich and the turkey was very tasty and had a moist texture to it. I got Mac and cheese as the side and it was a pretty basic tasting Mac n cheese. Overall not a bad meal and I would eat here again. The staff are all super nice and attentive!
