I am so disappointed about a review I presently saw about not recommending Dillengers! THAT IS CRAZY TALK!!! I just am amazed somebody had something negative to say! This place puts the happy in my vibe.
I am ALWAYS completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service. SAMI who is a bubbly bartender is only one of the team of great bartenders at Dilly’s, (too those of us that know it and appreciate the place). SAMI who hustles around making everyone smile is a great one by far! It is such a great place to just feel at home and have a good time where the price is reasonable.
Jimmy is ok too… Ha… just kidding he has my vote! 6 stars

Dillingers, (or as me and my friends call it ‘Dilly’s’) is one of the best bars in Boulder County. It’s a dive bar but in the best way. The drinks are the cheapest you’ll find around. It’s never too loud (except for maybe during kareoke on Saturdays but that’s expected). There are 5 pool tables in total, a couple dart boards and fun arcade games. The vibe is, local, grungy, blue collar, not pretentious, and consistent. The bartenders are probably the highlight of this place (besides the affordability of the drinks). Sami and Amanda are very welcoming, hospitable, make great drinks and are exactly what you want and need from a bartender (friend, therapist, objective observer and mediator, and someone who will tell you to get your life together and give you compassion and empathy at the same time. My friends and i typically go on Sundays and Mondays (industry weekend) and that is when Sami bartends. She is one of the best bartenders and people I’ve ever met and ALWAYS has my usual (Miller Lite in a bottle) ready for me the moment i walk in. Dillingers is a mainstay in Lafayette and Boulder County and is one of my favorite bars in the world. It’s a bit rough around the edges (clientele and myself included) and has the occasional rowdy drunkard that would cause a problem anywhere they go, not just in a bar, but it’s a good crowd of honest, hard working people that are there simply to escape the hardships of reality that awaits outside the doors of Dillingers.
As Toby Keith once said “I love this bar”
(Shoutout Amanda and Sami! Love you both!)

So i’ve been a patron here for years… i’ve always thought the service was great from the bartenders such as amanda. i used to regularly tip over 50% on a couple drinks lol. A while back i was playing pool and had bar employees start yelling at me that they were urgently closing when it was around 1:40; however i was under the impression they closed at 2 am. I amicably ended my pool game but asked the male manager (who i wasn’t familar with) to please let me know in the future if they would be closing that early so i could wrap up my pool game. He immediately became combative to the point I’m pretty sure he was drunk and I was the one who had to defuse the situation. I understand he’s probably dealing with drunk, unreasonable people but I made a calm, clear request and he treated me really poorly.

Always a great place! Bartenders are fantastic, especially on Mondays. Great place to watch a game and play pool. Happy hour food specials are amazing but you have to eat there.

Your average bar. Stopped in on a Monday & they had some trivia going, small crowd. Pool tables were open & a couple in use. Not a lot of people there & bar tender was tentative to everyone. Food wasn’t too bad either for the price.

I love this place! They serve my favorite beer. It’s always ice cold and served with a smile. I’ve only had fried mushrooms here and they are delicious as well. Great spot and great people too!

I love Dillingers! Always have; always will!
The new “co-owner” drives me crazy: (to their defense- it’s not a far drive.) His wife apparently has her little show horse barn, and will torment and start manipulating the owners of older & retired horses so that they move out, only to make room for new prospects to move in. What nobody seemed to ever hear, is that she keeps these youngsters in stalls and small runs, for most of the day. This woman creates neurotic horses just by locking them in stalls and feeding them boatloads of grain. Dillingers has recently has the same vibe. We all don’t need to be on edge. This is the last good bar left in town; relax and don’t ruin it!!!! Please! I love coming here, but this is getting ridiculous….. we used to have great Halloween parties back in the day. 🙁 now it’s just buzzkill with that underlying attitude.!I used to come here everyday for years. It’s getting sad. Maybe I’m just bitter. Please don’t let that wife take this personally 🙁 I’m just bitter and I wish Dillinger’s was still how it was back in the 2000’s. I’m sorry.

Sami is the best! My boyfriend and I came in one Sunday and she made us feel like family. We came back the next Sunday and now we’ve turned it into Sami sundays and we have a group of friends that come too just to see Sami!!!
