The atmosphere was The food was definitely different tasting and unique. We tried the paneer malai tikka, which was okay but tasted better with the sauce that accompanied it. We also ordered chole bhature, which came with 1 bhatura each, but the bhatura was stuffed. I don’t recall bhatura being stuffed, but it wasn’t bad. I would’ve much preferred the original recipe though. The chole was stronger in flavor and likely overspiced, almost slightly bitter. Not good or bad necessarily, but definitely not like most Indian restaurants. We ordered something like a malai/shahi kofta with rice and naan, which was very good. The egg biryani was also liked by our friends who ordered it. It also came with a decent raita. All in all, I would visit again to try some other dishes. The service, decor, and atmosphere was very welcoming.

It was an average experience for me. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this restaurant since it’s not one of those handful of stellar restaurants that deserve a detour or a special trip. If I’m passing by, I might stop over here for a quick bite but other than that, I think I’m good with all the choices in and around Boston. The complimentary aam panna was good and the maghaz curry with tawa roti were good but rest of it was just meh at best and way too oily.

Dilli Darbar is a gem! The food is incredibly flavorful and authentic. I highly recommend the butter chicken and biryani – both were cooked to perfection. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot for a casual dinner or a special occasion. Highly recommend.

I visit Dilli Darbar often. Their food is authentic and with a consistent spice-level in my experience. They have a large selection of vegetarian dishes and street‑food–style appetizers. Their dine‑in area is pleasant, with bright lighting and plenty of seats. They are also happy to customize orders. I appreciate their excellent customer service — I often interact with Ram, and he’s always friendly and accommodating when I place orders.

Disappointed with the food quality and presentation. Ordered a variety of dishes recently, and unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The dal makhani was swimming in oil, enough to bottle and reuse which made it heavy and unappetizing. The colors across the dishes felt overly artificial, more like food coloring than authentic spice blends. Paneer 65 and Masala Momos lacked freshness, and the curries tasted reheated rather than freshly prepared.

Dilli Darbar food is really good with plenty of vegetarian options which I fond many other restaurants lack in. They have gone curry for vegetarian which makes me very happy. We also tried there momos and fall in love with them. We also ordered there paneer 65 which tested very fresh and tasty compared to other restaurants in area. We are definitely going back there multiple time as I want to try all there different curries (not just paneer in red gravy).

I ordered the Mutton Rogan Josh along with garlic naan and biryani, and the entire meal was outstanding. The mutton was tender and cooked perfectly, soaking up the rich, aromatic gravy filled with traditional Kashmiri spices. The flavors were bold yet well balanced.

The garlic naan was soft with just the right crisp on the edges, pairing beautifully with the Rogan Josh.

Ordered takeout —the saag paneer and Pav Bhaji were good (but not the best I’ve ever had). Ordered a malai paneer tikka (as an experiment)—tasted too much like cardamom. Also got a malai kofta —tasted sour (was disappointed, usually my fav). Paneer multani seems an interesting concept—but tasted dry and didn’t have a distinct flavor.

Loved this place! The decor and atmosphere was awesome and the food was excellent. Definitely authentic Indian cuisine. If you don’t like spice, say “mild” when asked the “medium” was my upper limit and I love spicy food!
Ordered the Chicken Vindaloo, cheese garlic naan, chai, and Dal soup, all really tasty! Went on Monday night with a group of 6 and I think there was only 1 or 2 other parties there.
