Large portions, friendly faces and they have one of those amazing perculator coffee machines. I had the big breakfast with Banana Nut Pancakes . The sausage was plump and the eggs were cooked perfectly. A side salad rounded out the meal with very fresh veggies!

We stopped by after going on the Polar Express. We were a group of 27 and they happily accommodated us all. Usual diner food, the greatness varied based on the plate. Definitely will return after Polar Express next year.

Had a perfectly fine meal in this long-standing institution in Kingston. Met a friend here. One of us was in a breakfast mood the other for lunch. Both were easily accommodated as could dinner be accommodated if you were in that mood. Fairly standard Diner menu with a large selection of egg dishes for breakfast sandwiches wraps, Panini, etc. for lunch And salads had a huge selection as well as Italian dishes, broiled fish, meat, selections, etc. Their soups change every day. We sat in a booth near the window and it was perfectly comfortable.
Companion had eggs Florentine, which was pretty much eggs Benedict with spinach. Came with a pile of home fries. He was happy. I had one of my favorites, the happy waitress sandwich which if you’re not familiar as an open faced grilled cheese, normally served with tomato and bacon on white bread. I modified it to use rye bread and no bacon. I also got an order of coleslaw rather than the included fries. It’s an impossible dish to ruin as all it takes is melting the cheese on top of the bread. If you look at the picture, I was a bit disappointed that the bread was not covered by the cheese, however, in a very pleasant conversation with the owner on my way out, she pointed out that rye bread is a lot bigger than the white bread they usually serve it on. She had a point. The coleslaw was amazing. Finely shredded with just the right amount of mayonnaise and sugar. The owner told me they get a huge amount of takeout business for the coleslaw and I’m not surprised.
The service was unfortunately not great. It was efficient, but the waitress was not at all friendly. An attempt to make a joke, or even comment on her love is greater than hate T-shirt did not evoke a response. Thank youse did not get your welcome in return. It was actually the bus boy that came over and asked me if I would like a glass of water, never offered by the waitress.
A perfectly fine Diner and when in Kingston, I would certainly return. Next time might try the desserts.

Had a great breakfast meal on a Saturday. Dined outside and only had to wait five minutes for a table. Service was excellent and attentive. Food was hot, fresh, and tasted great. Standouts were the mushroom omelette and the French toast. Also loved their home fries! Would definitely dine again when in Kingston.

This place is exactly what one pictures when you say classic diner! I had a Cobb salad that was fresh and well put together that included, among other things, nicely cooked grilled chicken, bacon and olives. Our server was outstanding; very friendly and attentive. My 2 friends and I meet here a few times a year.

I stopped into this diner for a quick bite, and the highlight was definitely the staff. Everyone was so sweet, friendly, and talkative in the best way they made me feel really welcomed the moment I walked in. The service alone gives this place such a warm vibe. The food itself was a bit on the bland side but it wasn’t terrible, especially for a quick stop. If you’re looking for somewhere with genuinely kind people and an easy, casual meal, it’s still worth checking out.

First time to Kingston, NY a lot of firsts in the past 24hours. The Dietz Stadium Diner is very cordial, wait staff friendly and breakfast excellent!! The menu is great so come hungry and select your choices. Prices are very reasonable. Generous portions!! I ordered the Garden Omelets with Toasted rye bread with butter and cranberry juice. Yummy!! Come and enjoy this diner!! Five stars!!
