Prime beachfront location and lovely service. It is not the staff’s fault that management raises the prices in the system but doesn’t update the menu accordingly. My visitors caught this at 3 out of 5 places visited so you can bet I’ll be checking my bill against the menu everywhere in future.

Super delicious food. I ordered the sliders and my partner ordered a quesadilla, both very good. The cocktails were also amazing! Love that this place is right on the beach. I have been visiting Puerto Penasco for years and this was my first time visiting this establishment. Our server was wonderful as well. We will definitely come here again during our visit and highly recommend this place!

Great spot, found it by accident due to missing a turn and came back to check it out. Beautiful setup with a great atmosphere right on the beach. Drinks are kind of pricey but they were good and had a nice presentation. Didn’t try the food but we were given a complimentary sample of the garlic bread with marinara which was great. Definitely recommend checking the place out!

We visited Diego’s Tiki Bar for the first time and can’t wait to return. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the food truly exceeded our expectations—especially the perfectly cooked octopus, which was the standout dish of the night. Beyond the delicious menu, the ambiance is hard to beat: located next to a resort swimming pool with beautiful beach and ocean views, the setting feels like a vacation within a vacation. Adding to the fun was the live music, which kept the energy high and really set the tone for a memorable evening. We highly recommend Diego’s Tiki Bar for anyone looking to enjoy great food, fantastic service, and a wonderful atmosphere.

On Dec 19, we started with the coconut shrimp. Excellent. The English breakfast sounded appetizing on the menu. The promise of filet mignon made me ravenous with appetite but unfortunately an order of medium rare turned out to arrive well done. It was like chewing cardboard with no taste whatsoever and the texture left me dismayed. The other steak was also supposed to be medium rare, but turned out well done and tough on the outside, but almost totally raw on the inside. Unfortunate. The chef did make a new one. The two eggs were draped over a slice of sourdough bread were quite lovely in appearance and taste. The first egg was delicious but as I prepared to have the second a fly was skating across the yoke and that ended my appetite for egg. More flies arrived. As for the carrot cake, the presentation was beautiful but looks can be deceiving. The cake itself was dry. Of the entire experience, the shrimp saved the day. The strawberry daiquiri was very good and the refried beans had a nice spicy kick, but not too much. Service was good. The view is of course amazing.

We called ahead and asked if they had ‘live music’ that night and they said yes. We showed up to no live music, and it’s a bit of a way out of town. Prices are high, as it is in the resort area. We just had drinks, three of us, with a total of two beers, 6 shots, and a nicely presented tiki watermelon mojito… 1900 pesos (about $100 USD). Not your typical tiki bar design, more of a beach bar design, but nicely done. Service was good, when glasses were empty, there was already someone on their way to take an additional order.

We had a great time at Diego’s! Loved the ocean views, service and food. Nice place to watch the sunset too. Glad we were there for Happy Hour but we still managed to spend $400 on apps and drinks for 6 of us. Watch for the marked entrance to the parking area just after Esmerelda Resort.

The setup and views are great. Staff is very friendly and food came out in about 20 minutes. Drinks were fantastic and they make a mean piña colada! All in all a great place but it is a bit pricey, hence the 4 stars

Walked in from the beach – no shoes was cool! Unbeatable views of the Sea of Cortez. Nice big g bar and plentiful seating. I had the Eggs Benedict. They used prosciutto instead of Canadian bacon. That changed the taste and texture slightly. Hollandaise sauce was good. Spinach too. Prices a little higher but still not bad. Staff were terrific!

A vibrant tiki bar nestled along the stunning coastline of Mexico, framed by palm trees and golden sands. The atmosphere is lively, with colorful and cozy casting a warm glow as the sun sets over the horizon.

The bar features an impressive menu of fancy cocktails, each presented with artistic flair, featuring tropical fruits, elaborate garnishes, and eye-catching glassware. Guests sip on vibrant drinks, like vibrant blue ocean waves, or the classic margarita presented in a coconut shell, adorned with orchids and fresh fruit.

The culinary highlight is undeniably the mouthwatering carne asada—a perfect blend of marinated skirt steak, grilled to perfection with a smoky char. Served alongside homemade guacamole, made from ripe avocados, lime juice, onions, cilantro, and just the right amount of spice, it offers a fresh, creamy contrast to the savory meat.

The combination of stunning ocean views, delectable drinks, and delicious food creates an unforgettable experience at this beachside tiki paradise.
