Man, the meat was great! I got a solid amount, it felt fair for the price as well. Both were seasoned well, I always squeeze the lime and try a bite without any salsa as a test. I wish I got more salsa as the containers are so tiny. I recommend if you’re ordering take out, get 1 salsa per taco!
Solid 1st impression, I would come again. Came on a random Wednesday night.
Overall I give them a 10/10 taste, flavor and temperature.
I ordered to go so I did not have the eat in, service/packaging was good, not sure how the ambiance was since I did not eat there in person. Would definitely recommend.
As a taco enthusiast, I was eager to try Diego’s Tacos, drawn by their promise of fresh, handmade tortillas. Unfortunately, my visit left much to be desired in terms of flavor and execution.
I ordered two barbacoa tacos and three carne asada tacos. The barbacoa tacos were disappointingly greasy, with an overpowering oiliness that drowned out any depth of flavor. The seasoning was lackluster, lacking the rich, smoky complexity one expects from well-prepared barbacoa. The carne asada tacos fared slightly better, offering a passable taste, but they were unremarkable and failed to deliver the bold, savory punch characteristic of high-quality carne asada.
The highlight was undoubtedly the fresh, handmade tortillas, which were soft and flavorful, providing a solid foundation for the tacos. However, this wasn’t enough to salvage the overall experience. Service was another pain point; a 20-minute wait for five tacos felt excessive, especially given the lack of a bustling crowd.
While Diego’s Tacos has potential with its fresh tortillas, the inconsistent seasoning, greasy preparation, and slow service make it a less-than-ideal choice for taco aficionados. For now, I’ll be exploring other local spots to satisfy my taco cravings.
The meat is lean and tender – the tortilla were awesome I prefer the corn one. The rice was fluffy, with the bean were a perfect pair. Had the hibiscus water which was refreshing.
Coming back for sure
Just don’t go during lunch if you’re in a rush, it’s not their fault, it’s just so damn good that they have a line out the door.
Will definitely be going back.
Best Chilaquiles around!!!
