Well the staff have ALWAYS been super awesome. Yes, sometimes they get busy and yes sometimes you have to exercise a little patience but it is ALWAYS worth it. Now, as for the food, they recently upgraded the menu and the Grenade is my new favorite. I’m not even necessarily a “burger guy” but man this is a UNIQUELY delicious burger. Also, for people that appreciate well tailored Playlist that give you 2000, 2010 vibe, for a chill rainy afternoon, there is no better place!!!
The cocktails are PERFECT &&& REASONABLY PRICED for Seattle!!!

So the review above was genuinely written independently by me without the staff knowing. Then, organically, we were complimenting them about their “Grenade” burger and they asked us if we would like to try out a new menu item they were considering. Obviously we said yes, and WOW WOW WOW home made apple pockets, with home made vanilla cheesecake cream and ginger cheesecake cream with salted caramel on the side!!!!! Well they have just ruined this place for me!
I’m going to demand that every time and that’s going to RUIN my wasteline!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Keith and Gretchen. Ask for Keith and Gretchen.

I first thought this place was just a nice place for beer. Turns out their food is actually amazing. Keith, the manager came over and spoke with us and told us about the new chef and how they are trying to revitalize. 10/10!

This charming neighborhood bar boasts a German theme, featuring European-style community tables and a delightful old-world ambiance. I thoroughly enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere, making it an effortless spot to unwind and savor a quality beer (all of which are German). The server was a breeze to talk to, engaging in a friendly discussion about which beer would suit my palate. After sampling 2-3 options, I settled on one of the richer stouts. We ultimately indulged in the priciest pour, but it was absolutely worth it. I’m already looking forward to my next visit—punch card in hand—since they offer a rewards system with neat perks like mugs and other prizes.

Nice place to get German style pours of German beers. Friendly staff. Tried the weisswurst and fries with curry ketchup. It was fine if not very traditional. Will need to return and try both other plates and beers.

Dark wood, big wooden tables and low light but the open doors/windows let the sun in.

We had not been here in a while. The menu had good variety. I wanted a braut and a beer. Beer selection was very good and I found a lighter dark lager. The braut was disappointing because it was smothered in ketchup and mustard and just too much. Get the condiments on the side. And the beet salad was same with way too much dressing on it so get that on the side too. There was an onion dish, slaw and sauerkraut which were pretty good. The bun was also toasted and my preference would be not so crunchy and hard to eat. Delaney was our server and was outstanding. She was friendly and personable and attentive. Not too many choices for German north of the city but won’t be back for a while. No happy hour is not man incentive. Parking is a pain. Prices were on the high side. We were there around 4pm in a weekday so very few people or noise. They do allow dogs inside so I think that is a plus.

We have been coming here in the evening for some time and are always pleased with the friendly service and fantastic + authentic German food. The seasonal rotation of meat pies has been a most welcome addition, and the turkey sandwich is crafted so perfectly on its pretzel bun that it is by far the best turkey sandwich I’ve ever had.

But the real news of late is the beautiful brunch offering they have added this spring! The ambiance is much quieter on weekend mornings / early afternoons, and everything on the brunch menu knocks it out of the park (yes, I’ve tried it all at this point!) Portion sizes are massive, and reheat well, so it’s a multi-meal investment or perfect for sharing.

Kudos for adding such a great family-friendly brunch option to the neighborhood!

The bartender was mean. I started asking a question about their beers but was cut off mid-sentence and told, in a rude tone, to either look up at the board or down on my phone to see the beers. There was no patience or basic courtesy, and their attitude made us feel unwelcome.

The beer itself was delicious, but the service alone was enough to ruin the experience and I wouldn’t return. I do not recommend this place.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The staff is amazing and very accommodating (I have a broken foot) super friendly and close group of coworkers who seem like they enjoy their job. The beer is a great selection of imports and the food is super fresh and tasty.

Went here last week for the first time and had a great experience! Good food (very fulfilling and big portions) and a lot of beer choices and overall the atmosphere was enjoyable. Would come back !
