Established in 1948. The whimsical Dick’s Zesto’s has been beloved for decades by locals and visitors who come for the simple small town family experience nearly as much as for the ice cream. Zesto’s offers the same classic recipes and menu items that generations of families remember. Sprinkled with some new and fun options for those feeling adventurous. Soft Serve Ice Cream is the signature draw, but don’t forget about the changing sherbet’s and our famous Zesto loose meat burger and chili dog! Zesto was first opened in Fremont in 1948 at the corner of Fourth and Bell and has been at its current home at Military and Broad in downtown Fremont since the mid-50’s.

We stopped by last night and ordered 2 Hurricanes with one mix-in each. There wasn’t any choice of size & we paid $15 for them! It was a 12 oz cup that wasn’t full – there was a solid inch or more that was empty.

Spent the day swimming and then went to Zesto’s for dinner and ice cream. It was nice to be able to walk up to the window in our bathing suits and order. They have a few large picnic tables in the parking lot but it is a busy spot so you may have to wait for a table or take it to go. We lucked out and got a table that sat almost all 12 of us. They have a scan to order option but that actually can take longer than ordering from the window. I ordered from the window and my food came out in about 10 minutes. My friend ordered from the app and it took about 30 minutes. After we ate dinner we circled back to the window and ordered ice cream! That came out in less than 5 minutes. It was a fun experience and I would definitely eat there again.

I used to love the chili dogs and ate them many times. However, I just ordered two chili dogs on Wednesday and they were absolutely terrible AND they were way too expensive. Normally a chili dog costs $5.75 but I asked for “everything” on them so they charged me $7.25 for each dog. What I got as “everything” consisted of a squirt of mustard, about 8 small pieces of onion, and a couple of pickles on only ONE of the dogs. And this cost $1.50 per dog??? They also charged me an extra 89 cents for cheese on each dog. I couldn’t find a single piece of cheese on either dog. Also, both of the buns were dry and stale. This was incredibly inferior food for incredibly high prices, and I will NEVER eat at Zesto again. If you want some good food at reasonable prices, I suggest you go down the street a couple of blocks to Runza, plus you won’t even have to get out of your car.

Had wonderful staff who were friendly, fast and helpful. Amazing ice cream and onion rings. Ten times better than Runza’s rings!!! Would recommend to anyone who’s in Fremont!

This place has always been my favorite ice cream shop. You have to get a large hot fudge marshmallow malt. Absolutely amazing. They do great busy towards the end of the day and on weekends. I would say get there early. Also, the crunch coat is amazing as well. I would absolutely suggest trying the local favorite!!!

Energetic teenagers are ready to serve you numerous frosty ice cream concoctions and fast food items at this dated venue on the corner of two main streets in downtown Fremont. The fast melting ice cream is guaranteed to give you a headache on a hot day if you eat it too quickly!

Horrible customer service! As a young teen who also works in customer service, when a customer complains about their order, I politely fix it. After ordering an Oreo cookie dough hurricane with extra cookie dough, it took me until I dug to the middle of the ice cream to find my first cookie dough piece. I nicely went back up and showed the workers how much plain vanilla my ice cream was, the teen worker proceeded to roll her eyes at my fix. After getting handed a new blizzard rudely, I sat back down on a bench next to a fly infested trash can, I tried to sallow down my almost plain hurricane which I paid a pretty penny for. If I wanted plain vanilla ice cream, I would have gotten a cone.
