Service was very fast. Not alot you can do u unfortunately as far as burger styles. It either comes with it all or nothing which i find ridiculous. Every condiment is .20 add on i asked for a hamburger with no mustard.. not something that could be done apparently. Fries tasted old as well. Gave me a container of ketchup and it isnt even filled all the way… for such a famous chain it was extremely disappointing.

Classic drive in burger joint. Old school, good solid company, a Seattle tradition. You may have heard shout outs to Dick’s drive in from some local Seattle band songs. I think everyone from here may have known someone that worked here at some point. The vibes are the same and the crowd is always ready. I came a little bit early today to get my cheeseburger fix, so they had just opened and there was no line.

When I drove in and saw families siting in or on truck of the car enjoying the burgers I knew I was for an experience.

I trusted the reddit and ordered
Deluxe and cheese burgers, fries and tarter sauce and Vanilla shake

The order was 18.10$ and it was done in no time, they have very nice staff. They handed me the milkshake and OMG it is mind blowingly delicious!

The rest of the meal was amazing as well! Highly recommend this place, great food, great vibes. Culture spot for sure

Since moving to Seattle, I have always had a soft spot for Dick’s. Better than most fast and a nostalgic and comforting feel. But inconsistent food and service, has pushed me away as a customer. I really want to like it but I’ve had enough.

It is maybe because my daughter and I like the plain cheeseburger (when it is made good) but there is usually a wait and they are always weird when we order it… like as if we don’t want us to order it. I don’t know why they have it on the menu. It is not like it is a secret menu. I am just perplexed and left with a bad taste in my mouth which comes back when I drive by.

*Edit:* Replying to Dick’s. I filled out the contact form, waited for a few weeks and I never got a response. I then left the review. I also gave feedback to the manager. Moving my review to 1 star. Sorry to be a Karen but I tried and don’t like being gaslit. Maybe I’ll try Dick’s again in the future.

Dick’s at this location still carries the weight of a Seattle institution—Bill Gates himself has been known to swing through. And to be fair, there’s a lot to appreciate: it’s an easy stop if you’re heading north on I-5 after a night out, or commuting between downtown and the western neighborhoods. The lines are short, the service is fast, and it’s far more tolerable than the Capitol Hill outpost, where chaos reigns, parking’s a gamble, and the atmosphere’s gone to seed.

But fast and cheap only gets you so far. I ordered a couple burgers and fries, and two minutes later I had a warm paper bag filled with soggy, barely edible food. The fries were limp and oily. The burgers? Lukewarm, soft, and utterly forgettable. Sure, it was only $11—but I’d rather pay double and actually enjoy what I’m eating.

The crew looks like they’re trying, but the kitchen runs without direction. There’s no sign of a manager, no quality control, no attention to detail. It’s not a disaster, but it’s a letdown—especially for a chain with such a storied history. Dick’s needs to tighten things up. This isn’t about nostalgia—it’s about basic standards.

It is a memory for my bf who studied in UW and since his mother’s young age. He told me about the company culture prior to their food. Now I also enjoy it, simple and tasty.

Classic Seattle experience. A couple of bag of Dicks before we hit the road back home. Fast service and great burgers.

Absolutely amazing. First time at a old-fashioned drive-in. Give me a taste of the McDonald’s documentary on Netflix. The food literary comes out in 5 seconds. The people working and customers are all extremely friendly. They still use the old multimixers which I found extremely fascinating. Would come back to Seattle again just for this.

This was recommended to me as a Seattle staple and it was great! Fast services and lots of flavor! Also the prices are awesome.
For 3 burgers, 2 fries, and a soda (+water) it was barely over $25. Definitely worth the stop.
The parking lot/traffic is a bit chaotic.
