This is a solid choice for barbecue. There’s a variety of ways to order your meat, from sandwiches to meat platters to something called “stacks” where they layer the meet with different sides. The prices seemed reasonable. You can get a classic sandwich for about 8 dollars. I got the pulled pork with cheddar cheese (you have to ask for the cheese). The sandwich came with a whole slice of cheddar, and inch and a half layer of pulled pork, and just the slimmest coating of mayo on the bun. Sauce is “add your own” which was nice because you can put on just the amount you want. The sauce was kind of hot though, as in burn your fingers hot, not spicy. The decor is wood-deco and is charming. I like that there’s free WiFi. So, in short, nothing spectacular but a nice place to grab lunch.
I read some complaints about the customer service, but I found my server to be friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She was quick to help me navigate the menu and rang my order up quickly.

My husband, son and I ate here for the first (and last) time today. We didn’t eat more than a bite of our meat, something was off. The mac n cheese wasn’t great, the fries were alright, fried okra was okay… The food is overpriced too. If you know good barbeque food, don’t expect this place to meet your expectations. Also, the bathroom was disgusting, looked like they never clean it, and no toilet paper.

Usually I really like food from the franchise in general but today the fryers were down and the only things available were ribs and pulled pork. Generally I wouldn’t mind if a food establishment didn’t have all of there options since accidents happen and things break down. But it was the fact that what did have was horrible compaired to their usual standards. We ended up getting pulled pork but it was extremely dry and had no flavor unless you drowned it in BBQ sauce. gave two stars though cause the employees were still nice. Just very bad quality of food

We went on the 4th of July and so there was no other customers besides us. This gave us time to ask questions and talk with the friendly staff. They helped us and were great. The food was delicious. I had the fancy park sandwich and my husband had the original chicken. Both of which were very good. The meat was juicy, the bun was fresh and the sauce was delicious. We also had green beans, Mac and cheese, creamed spinach, and backed potato casserole. Yum! Plus, free ice cream! We’ll definitely be back.

Food is good but service is terrible, unorganized and lacks management! There is no reason for a BBQ place to run out of BBQ sauce or pulled pork if you see it low make more. Also the fryer is down going on for 2 weeks now. And today they were out of pulled pork and the spinach plus the fryer was down. Come on get your s**t together. Also no corn on the cob who ever heard of a BBQ place w/o corn on the cob

This restaurant was great when it first opened, but has gone downhill since. The past three times I have visited over the past month or two, the fryer has been out of service each time. In addition, on my most recent visit, I waited for over 10 minutes without acknowledgement by the staff while they prepared orders for other customers. There were also no sauces or onions available to add to my sandwich. When requested, I had to wait for an additional 6 minutes before the staff had the time to provide me with these condiments.

I had a great experience food was very good and so was service. Price? Relative to other places in area I felt it was reasonable. At least its not mystery meat! Portions? I didnt finish my sandwich and had the second half for dinner. Same goes for my husband.
If there was one suggestion I could make it would be that all sandwiches should include chips then maybe have a choice for side upgrade.
Free ice cream is a bonus!

What you expect: Giant heaps of bbq’d meat, and all the sides, a veritable gorge fest for carnivores.
What you get at Dickies: No meat. That’s right, they were out of MEAT. Well, they had sausage, so not completely out. No ribs, no chicken, no brisket.
I can’t review the food, as they had none (about 6 pm-weekday). As for customer service, the lady at the counter wasn’t quite hostile, but definitely not polite. She seemed offended that we’d ask why they were out of meat, and acted as if it were no big deal, and we should be happy with sausage.
With the openings of truly great BBQ joints in Gig Harbor, one can only hope they just change their format and go forward as a vegan restaurant. They’re already on their way with the no meat formula.

Good food, but the management seems to be lacking. This last visit their ribs were 2 hours from being done, they were out of their cream spinach side, no toilet paper in the bathroom and they were completely out of cones for their ice cream. This type of thing has become typical of this location unfortunately.
