Whatever you do, please DO NOT go to the Dickeys Barbecue Pit on Hawthorne Blvd and El Segundo. Here’s why:
1. Food is not good
2. The workers are rude
3. The workers lied

1. The brisket taste like straight charcoal. The bbq didn’t help it not one bit. The chicken is dry and is tasteless. The Mac & Cheese taste likes El Pollo Loco’s and the Baked Beans taste straight out the can.

2. The worker are very rude. My little sister wanted Bbq and I wanted to try Dickey’s because everyone raves about it. I’ve NEVER been to Dickeys so this was my first and last time. #2, I came in and asked the cashier (which we found out was the manager which they lied about. I’ll get there on my third point) about this coupon from T-Mobile and told me “I don’t know nothing about that but if you plan on using it, you have to order online). That’s just what I did. Me and my sisters waited approximately 30 minutes waiting on a $23.53 that didn’t taste good. My sister had to go up to the cashier and ask where our food was and they said they didn’t get the order. I had to repeat my name 5 times and then they asked what I ordered to confirm it was me (mind you it was only me and my siblings in the establishment at the time.)

3. Finally after reviewing my food, the “manager” handed me my phone. My mother called the establishment and asked for a manager to which the woman said the manager left for the day. Apparently , the manager was the rude cashier in the beginning of my experience. The woman then told my mother that she didn’t see anything wrong with how we were treated. I forgot to mention, while waiting on our food, they started speaking in Spanish but prior to us coming in, they were speaking clear English.

I usually don’t write reviews, but when I receive bad customer service I have to write a review because it’s unacceptable, inappropriate, and unprofessional.

My review has already been completed. It’s not like other Dickies I’ve had the pleasure of dining. My prediction is if they don’t learn how to season, cook & prepare their meat like it should be done they will not last long here at this location.

I loved the one on PV Blvd, and Rosecrans & Crenshaw, in long Beach across the the police station and court house.

This here has issues I suggest they fix’em fast.

I was in the area and noticed this place was finally opened. I got my order and honestly really enjoyed the food! Now, the prices are too high for me to come by often but I’ll definitely come back!

We ordered 1 pound of Brisket and Texas toast with a few other items. The brisket was burned and hard and definitely not edible. The Texas toast was cold and soggy. Why would you serve someone something that you know is not edible. As for the rest of our items, they were cold. The lack of customer service is real. I will not order from here again….This is the second time this happened.

Had a Brisket and a Pulled Pork sandwich for pickup. In my opinion, the Brisket sandwich was rather overcooked (burnt). Then I went back into the store, showed my sandwich and asked if that’s the way the sandwich is supposed to be. To my surprise, the waiter said yes. A photo is attached. Judge for yourself. I won’t come again.

Nearly $20 for a tiny sandwich. First and last time coming here. Food prices are astronomically high, for the amount of food you actually get. The meat was subpar, the fries were under cooked, and the sauces were watered down.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Dickey’s Barbecue in Hawthorne, California, and I must say that I was thoroughly disappointed in every aspect of my visit. From the abysmal customer service to the shockingly poor food quality, my expectations were not only unmet but shattered. Let’s start with the customer service, or lack thereof. From the moment I walked in, the staff seemed disinterested and indifferent.

No warm greeting or even a simple acknowledgment of my presence. It took an eternity for someone to take my order, and when they finally did, it was done with an attitude that suggested they were doing me a favor. It’s disheartening to witness such disregard for customers, especially when you’re looking forward to enjoying a good meal. Speaking of the meal, I wish I could say that the food made up for the dismal customer service, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I ordered a variety of dishes, hoping to get a true taste of their barbecue offerings.

However, what I received was a far cry from the mouthwatering, flavorful barbecue I had anticipated. The meats were dry, overcooked, and lacking in any discernible smoky flavor. The sides were equally disappointing; the mac and cheese was bland, and the coleslaw tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. It was evident that the food had been prepared without any care or attention to detail.
To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. Tables were dirty and had not been properly cleaned between customers. The floors appeared sticky, and the overall ambiance was uninviting. It’s baffling how a restaurant can neglect such basic hygiene standards. I had hoped that maybe the redeeming factor would be the pricing, considering the overall subpar experience. However, even in this aspect, Dickey’s fell short. The prices were relatively high for the quality of food and service provided. I would have gladly paid more for a better experience, but in this case, it felt like a complete waste of money. In conclusion, my visit to Dickey’s Barbecue in Hawthorne, California, was a thoroughly disappointing and disheartening experience. The poor customer service, coupled with the shockingly low food quality, left me questioning why I had chosen to dine there in the first place. I strongly advise anyone considering a visit to this establishment to think twice and explore other dining options in the area that prioritize customer satisfaction and food quality. Do not waste your gas coming here!

Partially a bad review for dickeys, partially uber eats. The app charged me for boneless wings that apparently they don’t offer. The employees were rude off the top. My order was blatantly wrong, it seemed like no attention was paid to the receipt that had the accurate wing flavors. It took an extra 15 minutes to get my correct order. Not going back.
