Although this place might be a little bit expensive, I have to say they do accept EBT food snap, so if your low on cash, want to splurge snap ebt is accepted and you can use that cash for the tip ( if your like me and can’t not tip) it is some yummy food, this is definitely the place to be. I think that the days that they have “specials” on each particular day every single week, is the best value, I was looking at this menu after ordering. I wanted to get ribs, but I saw that there was special for them on a certain day, so anyways, also they deliver through the apps but some of the sides aren’t on the apps yet, so just understand that, also I noticed major deals( like decent and way better then if single dish walk ins cost) they offer catering, well the price for the catering is of a really good deal way better then if you were to buy a single item. and it like I said the food is delicious So that’s a win win if your looking for quality +affordability.
Also, they have karaoke on Friday and Saturday at ninepm, I think, it is but you can just call and make sure and that’s really fun. The people and staff there are super friendly, pretty laid back and it is family owned,so everybody’s just super cool.

I have heard so many mixed reviews about this place which ultimately kept me away for so long. I am glad to say I was pleasantly surprised. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable on the nuisances of BBQ. Let’s start with the MEAT! The brisket was absolutely delicious, tender and succulent. The chicken breast, which normally I wouldn’t order but it was smoked nicely. Then there’s the BREAD, which had to be one of the best side pieces of bread I’ve ever tasted! The sides, I got the creamed spinach was very good to start and the waffle fries, they were also good, nothing I would rave over and finally the sweet tea was not too sweet and not to plain, perfect balance in my opinion. Semi expensive but I would definitely go again. Try it for yourself.

I’ve been watching their TV Commercials for a while now. Decided to visit Dickey’s in the hood, on rainy day. The restrooms were clean. The girls over the counter were so nice. They were helpful with their suggestions, convinced us to eat in and one of their staff members came by to ask is how everything was, all this during rush-lunch time. The food was very good and the restaurant was very neat. Will visit again soon!

The food taste was good but almost 35$ for a 3 piece meat with 2 side!? in Compton! common guys.
The hard working employees were having a loud fighty discussion with F…words too. Maybe they were kidding, but the vibe was not good to stay for lunch.
3 star is my max!

Food was just ok got the brisket baked potato and it was advertised to have tons of meat and I barely had any. I had more sour cream than meat and it didn’t have the cheese sauce at all. Food was cold I had to warm it up when I got home. Ribs where seasoned good but not as tender as they could have been and my boxes where very dirty. I don’t like my food served in containers that have food or sauce all over the outside. I didn’t appreciate having to go home and melt my own cheese and make a cheese sauce for the potato that lacked meat. Like it said it was not great but it was not nasty either just ok. But it really was not worth 80 bucks.

We catered the deluxe lunch boxes for Christmas. They were good and I was happy they were able to put 30 boxes together with less than a day’s notice

Dickey’s bbq pit in Compton, CA service was nice but portions were for kids of age 3. Mac and cheese was dry, okra tasted burnt, chicken dry and stiff like jerky, brisket and kelbasa very good. I left a three dollar tip before I checked my order. Should of took it back. My second and last time buying food there. I threw that food away, I reheated it at home in the oven, tasted oily, dry and rubbery. Even the roll got doughy.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is the first franchise barbecue joint in Compton, ever. Compton has always had good barbecue. Really Good Barbecue! But many of the local pit masters have closed, retired or passed on. Thus, leaving a void in the city. A void that even a franchise barbecue joint can fill. Fortunately, Dickey’s is bringing it. Offering real barbecue, for people who know real barbecue. With tasty sides, desserts and even Sweet Tea (anyone with Southern roots can appreciate that). And they do it in a nice setting (clean dining room and restrooms), with a great staff, that are trained to give good service. Although, they are a franchise, so don’t expect the portions sizes that the locals have grown accustomed to. But after you experience the ribs, brisket, links and pulled pork, you’ll know why Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is the first franchise barbecue joint in Compton, ever. And hopefully they are here to stay.

$31 for a drink two sides and a small potion of meat is not worth. I could’ve got two and half foot longs at subway, and it would’ve had more meat than this. Won’t ever come back. Lucille’s BBQ is better. Texas would be ashamed

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. They literally served me RAW chicken. I can understand something a little under cooked but this is completely raw. Please see the photo. What is wrong with this place!? Never ordering again and I’m letting everyone in my life know to stay away from this disgusting place.
